If you thought this town partied after the Hawks won, wait til the Cubs/Bears win. Party will last days.
Yep, concerts in the streets, major parts of the city shut down for days. Mass herds of people walking down the express ways into the city just to get there and be a part of it. It's going to be a once in history event on planet Earth and remembered until the end of time.

If either of these ever happen, I'm taking a week off work. Definitely plan on being in Chicago on clinch nights for the Cubs, or in Chicago for a Bears SB again.
He did? Guess I was wrong, thought it was the guy before him that brought them in.
Ya. In 03 they brought in Kevin Millar, Bill Mueller, Orlando Cabrera, Dave Roberts, and David Ortiz. In 04 Curt Schilling, Keith Foulke, Mark Bellhorn, and Terry Francona
hah i can't see the picture but i'm guessing it's the sox winning the series. most people i know were like oh cool, the sox won, but i'd rather it was the cubs
I honestly think that Soriano would be a steal of a deal for any American League team. Cubs would pay most his salary and he could be a good DH. I could see him hitting 30+ HRs in a place like Boston. His long, high fly ball outs that go right into the wind at Wrigley would go the short distance and over the green monster. Plus he could just concentrate on hitting because I know he has spent a lot of his time trying to learn how to play outfield. He is actually respectable there now, but better served as DH.
Also, if Hamilton doesn't resign in Texas, I could see it being a bidding war between the Cubs and Dodgers. Highly doubt the Red Sox and Yankees getting involved.

The Sox have no interest in Soriano at DH with Ortiz there.
that would be amazing if hamilton became a cub. make it happen theo!
I'd rather not pay a 31 year old recovering drug addict $20 mil a year for 8 years like he's going to get. We're just about to get Soriano off the books.
