The NJ forward compete level is very impressive. They really get after it, esp. their best players.
Winning franchise culture.
LA may have paid a huge price for Richards in the future but this playoff season he has been an impact 2C for them and they are now 1 win away from the conference finals.

anyone catch bmac's comments yesterday or the day before that jordan and marc staal are both angling when ufa eligible to sign with the hurricanes?
that the three brothers want to play on the same team is not a shock. what i find interesting is that pittsburgh and new york are getting ditched fro raleigh nc

When he originally posted the point (on twitter, several days ago) he only suggested CAR because Eric is locked in the longest and was the least likely to move, IINM. Although Marc is still quite a ways from moving as well.

Even without Marc they have Girardi, McDonaugh, Del Zotto, Erixon, Sauer and McIlrath who all look like legit defensemen. I could see them trading him if the return (say something around Brandon Sutter) looks tempting enough.
Yotes use of Gordon in what seemed like every face off in the waning minutes of the game last night makes you think of what role he might have played on a Hunter team. I could have seen him fitting in quite well, his skill set in the dot would have been beneficial the other night in light of how poorly the team performed in taking face offs.

I agree. Looks like a Hunter type guy all the way.
