Have to assume the Rags get whopped tonight with the little rest, and probably the series considering the battle they just survived

Would really like to see the Devils whoop the Rags butt in this series. Pulling for Brodeur to win the Cup again.

Brodeur is the reason to root against them. The reasons to root for them outweigh that, though, as compelling a single reason as it is.

Yeah, I really think the Devs would have made quick work of us.

Not watching the game, but let me guess what's happening:

The Devils are dominating play, and the Rags scored on a fortunate bounce?

Was a normal goal if you discount the fact the scorer is shooting the puck as the guy he replaced is getting off the ice.

And now 2-0. I feel bad for the Devils. Once I decided to root for them in this series, they were doomed.

Actually no.

Rags have been pretty opportunistic.

NY has had more chances and they've buried a couple of them now.

The game is wide open after watching the Rags/Caps series.

Though the Devils' forecheck was giving the Rags problems early on, they seem to have adjusted now.

Maybe Dale did know what he was doing against NY.

Nah I just think NJ's style would have given us fits with the likes of Wideman and Schultz.

Their best D this playoffs has been Salvador.

I don't think it's a reach.

God the Rangers suck, they are not better than the Caps. We'd have won the East if we'd won game 7 too.

It's all good though LA will wipe the floor with whoever comes out of the East

Don't neglect the dead obvious penalty on MDZ that goes uncalled and a Ranger goal within a minute to make it 2-0. Refs handed this one to the Rangers.

Yup.

Devils had easy opponents. Had to take freaking Florida to 7 games 2OT, and exposed Philly for sucking (im sure other teams would have beaten Philly just as easily as them)

Weak playoffs in the East...

Makes you wonder what would of happened instead of doing 4 role lines, Hunter used SOB at least on the first ****ing shift. Instead Aucoin Ward and Knuble start.

God that last thing is such a depressing thought, maybe Dale gone isn't the end of the world.

This

now that the caps are out I have no interest in watching hockey. I'll tune in when the finals are being played when a team has a chance to clinch other than that I don't think much about hockey till the Draft. And by then the sting of another disappointing season/playoffs may have worn off

Same here, tried watching it last night... just cant get into it... keep thinking: if not for that high sticking penalty at the end of game 5, i'm pretty sure it would be our boys playing right now...
