Please vote on the results of the recently completed 1st prospect draft. Feel free to discuss your choice.

Rules were simple. Player had to be under 25, with 40 or less NHL games. You needed a full team of 12 forwards, 6 dmen and 2 goalies.

The numbers besides the players indicate where they were chosen in the draft.

Vancouvers defence is by far the best, and their forwards are also solid.

So i voted for them

My vote goes with Toronto.
They have the most solid team, offense, defense, and goaltending.

Same for me. Caps clearly have the best talent pool, not to mention that offense, defense and goaltending are all well covered.

only two votes so far? time to campagin for more votes.

Why should you vote for ?
Well, if you follow the OHL, you will know that the have the best team.

Our goaltending is number 1 amongst the teams, with Gibson, a top goalie in OHL and lead the Rangers to confrence finals this year. Our back-up is the most underrated goalie of all time, was signed as a free agent by the London Knights, Michael Houser played like a first overall pick in his first few seasons in the OHL. Passed by multiple times in the NHL draft and the USA world junior team, Houser has shown all the critics wrong, winning the OHL goalie of the year.

Now for D-Man, the have one of the best blue line of the teams, with M.Dumba, A.Ekblad, J.Tinordi, O.Maatta, R.Murphy & S.Harrington. Dumba is a scoring D-Man with 57 points in 69 games this year. Ekblad is the youngest player to be drafted into the OHL since John Tavares and one of only three players given his the "exceptional player" status. A Shutdown D-Man, Ekblad will play well With Dumba as he can play dack with Dumba playing more of a foward role. Next is Tinordi, the captain of the London Knights and 2010 Montreal first round draft pick. Tinordi stands 6'7" tall and is usually a shutdown D-Man, but loves to get into the play if he has another shutdown D-Man with him. Which is a perfect role for Maatta, a good shutdown D-Man, Maatta was selected first overall in the CHL entry draft last year, Maatta is a top draft prospect and can play a scoring or shutdown role on D. Next is Murphy, the best puck moving D-Man in the OHL, if you don't stop him, he will get the puck deep in your zone. Last but not least, Harrington, the man called by the Canadian world junior team this year, their secret weapon, as he is not well known, however he is an awesome shutdown D-Man, with one wicked slap shot.

I'm not going to go into detail about my fowards, but I have a hugh mixture for them with everyone able to score or play physical.

Vote

We elected to not vote 1 single draft eligible player. The thought process was to take players who have progressed to be better than they are on the day they were drafted... not risk our picks on the potential of undrafted players.

By doing so, we feel every single player this team drafted is NHL caliber and ready to play very shortly (if not already).

Why should u votefor the ? Our focal point is the D. The top pairing of Murray and Hamilton along with the second pairing of Gormley and De Haan will have huge potential. Our goalies are two who have shown they can be solid when thrust into the nhl. For our Forwards we decided to stick with pastdraft picks and not this year picks except galenchyuk eho will be top 5.

Starting to think my decision to take Bartschi over Hamilton and hope Hamilton fell back to me, was something people disagree with lol

Van or Washington, but Vans defense is soooo good. Washington got an unreal first line, and Holtby who is awesome. That said, Van's D is too good, with a good group of forwards and a good goaltender in Bishop

Van barely over Washington

Interesting, pretty spread out. I assume everyone voting for their fave prospect.

I'm guessing Dougie Hamilton is still going to be the MVP pick here tho.
