Smith playing out of his mind doesn't help Bryz's cause either.
I might give a lot of credit to Burke(goaltending coach), he found a way to make Bryz look decent for a bit, though Smith seems to be much better when it matters.

Wasn't Bryz pretty good for the Ducks when he played like 11 games for them in the playoffs?

Nashville also seems to lack top end talent, so when they get behind they have no one to step up and break the trap.

He was fine until he fell apart against the Oilers.

Why don't you just become a ducks fan and make the Sharks your least favorite team?

You're right. The Sharks have high end talent that can't break the trap. That's worse...

And then with my luck the Ducks win 4 cups in a row and the Sharks become like the Islanders during the Milbury years.

No, we broke the trap fine when the pressure was on, especially Phoenix's trap. Mike Smith is having a freakish season though.

Just like the Sharks weren't a #7 seed? They were stifled by trapping teams all year. Only a few occasions were they able to get them to open up.

Tippett has to be thrilled. Up 2-0 in the series and they have made enough mistakes that he has plenty to harp on them about.

They outright broke phoenix's trap, outshooting them in every game including a 42-shot effort in Phoenix. You may not remember how those games went but the Sharks dominated offensive zone time against Phoenix this season. They did not successfully trap us. St Louis was the only team that had much success trapping us this season.

Getting a team to "open up" the trap is not the same thing as beating the trap, if a trap teams opens up, it is no longer trapping.

I'm happy for Phoenix. I want them to win the Cup just to stick it to all the haters.

What haters? This is the first year they have been a contender in 25 years. No one hates the irrelevent.

So why are so many people against Phoenix? I want them to win too.
Torres is really the only person I hate on the team and he isn't even playing.

I don't think I could stand having a budget team like Phoenix win the cup while SJ still hasn't. NOPE.

I don't hate the team, I hate Raffi Torres, if he weren't on the team I couldn't care less about them winning.

Having his name on the cup is enough reason for me.

I keep saying it, I think the Phoenix Coyotes are this years:

2002 Hurricanes
2003 Ducks
2004 Flames
2006 Oilers

Random underdog team that gets picked to lose every round but keeps on going. And like all those other teams they will eventually lose to a more skilled team in the finals; who I think will be the Flyers in the Stanley Cup.

Phoenix is spending more this season than Nashville is.
