That sequence of Smith catching the puck, then playing it quickly.....just makes me sad we have Niemi.

Don't have a large budget? Don't have an ownership group? No superstar?

No problem! Buy the Phoenix Coyote's Guide on How to get dominated on your way to a Championship. They will show you how to smoke and mirrors your way to a Cup by riding a Workhorse Goalie and a Horseshoe!

He's definitely making a strong push for it.

He'd be the first Conn Smythe winner to be able to count to potato.

Another Kings sweep?

*sigh*.. looks like it. i don't think they'll lose more than 3 games for the rest of the playoffs.

Still game one, you can't say a series looks like a sweep based on one game.

I only picked the yotes in the shark board pool cause I can't catch first unless I pick the opposite of what everyone else picked. Kings look real good right now.

Again, story of their season. Smith is having a season for the ages but eventually even he may not be enough.

Ugh if LA wins while losing less than 5 games total in the playoffs I'm 100% sure suddenly Ducks fans are going to seem like reasonable and wonderful people in comparison.

So lets say LA does win this series, who has the best chance of knocking them out in the finals?

It's about even. They've both struggled to beat some mediocre teams. It took NYR 7 games to beat the 7th and 8th seeds. NJ took 7 games vs Florida.

The Devils. Brodeur can negate a forecheck and trigger the breakout with his puck moving ability. Plus they are solid on special teams and have more depth at forward than NYR and Pho. The only question is if the defenseman hold up.

I laughed so hard when this happened. Someone should edit the video and put in that NBA JAM announcer saying "FROM DOWNTOWN"

I was waiting for Doughboy to throw it in his own net too

Reminded me of Nolans shot against the blues in the playoffs years back!
