Huh? Phoenix isn't winning because of any trap based tedious defense. They've surrendered 6 goals in 2 games. One game they were dominated by a team that had them on their heels in their own zone. That doesn't sound like a successful trap to me. Their goalie has been good but 6 goals is 6 goals plus the other guy is technically better anyway. How bout this - Phoenix has been winning (so far) because of a lot of offensive creativity and good execution. I like LA okay and I do want to see the Blues lose but I'm starting to pull for the Dogs to go all the way.

Nashville beat their trap pretty well in game 1 but in game 2 they trapped the **** out of Nashville.

Nashville isn't down 0-2 in that series because of systems. It's about players. Mike Smith is performing, Rinne is off his game. Yotes players are all working hard, Preds have players like Radulov who are coasting and not coming back to support defensively.

Man, Mike Green is ****ing horrible. Washington would be smart to trade him ASAP. Not only is he awful and doesn't fit in Washington's system, but he's one bad hit away from never playing again and he hasn't shown me any on-ice awareness and he doesn't keep his head up.

Why couldn't we have forced this to be a round 1 match up and then potentially take out the Kings later?

**** you game 82.

I swear I kinda get the same feeling by us winning game 82 and letting LA play the nucks the same gut feeling I got when Erat made that idiotic blind backhand pass in 09/10 when Nashville could have potentially had 2 chances to eliminate the Hawks and prevent us from having to face them. I think if that idiotic play didn't happen we would have at least made the finals that year. I wanted to play the Flyers pretty bad too for the cup. I hope I'm wrong but I remember having the same intuition when that crap happened. Hopefully PHX or someone in the East will beat LA.

Seems like most teams struggle mightily facing Quick yet somehow we suck vs. crappy goalies and can perform miracles against him at times?

It's that Giants effect. Make no name pitcher look like Cy Young winner. Make Cy Young candidate look like garbage.

No ****. They just interviewed Hitchcock and asked him why the Kings' PK was working so well against them, and he said it was because they were "attacking" and "going for the knockout punch". Shocking.
