Obviously a Blues fan here. For those of you that have been reading the Blues boards, I want to say I am not one of the ones that think we should run Quick or Drew or exact that kind of revenge. I'm actually embarrassed by those that are in favor of that kind of play.
I have been impressed with the class I see from most of the Kings fans here. I appreciate the fact that you guys want to see Petro back for tonight's game.
I also wanted to say that I do a lot of driving for work and listen to a lot of NHL Home Ice on XM radio and have heard several 'experts' say they think the winner of this series will be the West representative in the Stanley Cup Finals. I, of course, want to see the Blues in that spot. But, if the Kings are as classy as their fans, then the Kings wouldn't be the worst team that could make the finals (can't be more supportive of the Kings than that right now).
Here's to hoping this series doesn't disintegrate into something ugly. May the best team win.
Ok I'll admit it, when Pietrangelo was scraping his face off the boards I couldn't help think it is karma for the Courtnall incident years ago. I don't want to see anyone get hurt but it is my opinion that it was an accident. No different than a player tripping a player and them falling awkwardly and getting injured. It wasn't malicious, it was an accident.
I wonder if Blues fans were/are just as disgusted with Courtnall when that happened? And that WAS intentional. It is interesting to see how people act when the shoe is on the other foot.
Blues will no doubt come out flying, they will play better than game 1. Kings gotta weather the storm and be physical. Also gotta take care of the puck better, especially in their D zone. Kings cannot be satisfied with a split, show em whatcha got boys.
Sick and tired of most Blues fans complaining about the hit. Hope Alex is in and we grab the win and go up 2-0.
Btw, was in LA for Games 3 & 4 versus Vancouver, awesome experience, the building was electric on both nights. Great touch by the Kings to honor a soldier during the game. Must admit I was a bit choked up seeing that, true heroes in every sense.
If Pietrangelo can’t play, Ian Cole will go into the lineup. The Blues are expected to make a change up from, with Matt D’Agostini replacing Chris Stewart, and the Blues are expected to swap their first- and second-line wingers.
