Obviously a Blues fan here. For those of you that have been reading the Blues boards, I want to say I am not one of the ones that think we should run Quick or Drew or exact that kind of revenge. I'm actually embarrassed by those that are in favor of that kind of play.

I have been impressed with the class I see from most of the Kings fans here. I appreciate the fact that you guys want to see Petro back for tonight's game.

I also wanted to say that I do a lot of driving for work and listen to a lot of NHL Home Ice on XM radio and have heard several 'experts' say they think the winner of this series will be the West representative in the Stanley Cup Finals. I, of course, want to see the Blues in that spot. But, if the Kings are as classy as their fans, then the Kings wouldn't be the worst team that could make the finals (can't be more supportive of the Kings than that right now).

Here's to hoping this series doesn't disintegrate into something ugly. May the best team win.

As long as Pietrangelo feels okay after practice, he will play tonight.

Cross off one excuse for Blues fans.

Kings can just go back to being lucky.

Ok I'll admit it, when Pietrangelo was scraping his face off the boards I couldn't help think it is karma for the Courtnall incident years ago. I don't want to see anyone get hurt but it is my opinion that it was an accident. No different than a player tripping a player and them falling awkwardly and getting injured. It wasn't malicious, it was an accident.

I wonder if Blues fans were/are just as disgusted with Courtnall when that happened? And that WAS intentional. It is interesting to see how people act when the shoe is on the other foot.

Blues will no doubt come out flying, they will play better than game 1. Kings gotta weather the storm and be physical. Also gotta take care of the puck better, especially in their D zone. Kings cannot be satisfied with a split, show em whatcha got boys.

Go Kings Go!

Sick and tired of most Blues fans complaining about the hit. Hope Alex is in and we grab the win and go up 2-0.

Btw, was in LA for Games 3 & 4 versus Vancouver, awesome experience, the building was electric on both nights. Great touch by the Kings to honor a soldier during the game. Must admit I was a bit choked up seeing that, true heroes in every sense.

GO KINGS!

Kings need to come out hard, forecheck harder, give them no space, and force turnovers, then capitalize.

Man, hockey is simple.

If the Kings score more goals than the Blues, they will win. I guarantee it. They've won every game this season when they have done that.

If Pietrangelo can’t play, Ian Cole will go into the lineup. The Blues are expected to make a change up from, with Matt D’Agostini replacing Chris Stewart, and the Blues are expected to swap their first- and second-line wingers.

Important game for setting the tone of the series. We need to come out with our best effort. GO KINGS!

I want to see a hard fought game tonight! If the Kings stick to their game plan, playing hard/clean/tough/blue collar hockey we will win this and take a 2-0 back to LA.

GO KINGS!

Gotta weather the initial storm and come home up 2-0.

No reason to be satisfied with a split at this point. The Kings need to grab this opportunity and force the Blues to deal with some real adversity.

No offense to the blues...but I was WAY more scared of the Canucks when they had both Sedins...they seem MUCH more capable of completely taking over the game and not letting you have anything.

I'm hoping we get the tsn feed. The last game was unbearable to listen to. It was as if we were listening to the Blues broadcast team.

Per Hammond:

Quote:
Incidentally, the Kings did hear from Brendan Shanahan regarding Dwight King’s hit on Alex Pietrangelo, and they were told that the on-ice call — a two-minute boarding penalty — was correct.
Seems like the Blues media writers are the only ones talking up the "hit". Hopefully they will let it go once Alex is skating in warmups tonight.
