QUOTES TO NOTE
It’s game by game, it’s progression. At the same time, I’m still doing some things that I need to do better and can’t have happen.
Getting my stick lifted, having a few giveaways in the defensive zone and I had opportunities to get blocks and it didn’t happen.
- Chris Kreider
In games like these, you have to be patient. I think our guys are pretty good at waiting for their opportunities, and that's what we did.
We didn't open ourselves up and we waited to get opportunities to score. When we did, we buried them.
- Marc Staal
It's going to be a grind and we're just going to play our game. We're not changing anything as far as how we go about our business.
- John Tortorella

This is now a more important game than the first one. The Caps need this one really badly. We need to protect our home ice advantage.
Let's go Rangers!!!!

Caps are gonna bring it, definitely are going to play more desperate than Game 1. If the Rangers limit their chances like Game 1 and get more pucks towards Holtby, i like their chances. LGR!

The D needs to protect both the sides of the goal and the king!
In game 1 we gave up huge space on both sides of the goal and when one caps player crushed into Henke no one roughed him up. It looked more like they were helping him up and dusting him of.
Can't imagine how Henke felt about that..

HUGE GAME!
Win tonight= Short series and firmly believe we end this baby in 5 and rest up
Lose tonight=Long series which likely goes the full 7
Prediction: Holtby gets pulled after 1st period with confidence shaken as we pull off 4-1 win.

Winning this would be absolutely awesome. Then we can get away with a split in Washington. Withstand the early storm and go from there.
