why close the Briere thread?

I still don't understand why the Briere thread was closed.
Put aside the past for a moment.
At 6.5 mil a season for the next 3 seasons cap hit, but only 7mil, 3mil and 2mil actual salary payouts, Danny Briere, past situation or not, is precisely the type of player needed on this team.

I would be more than ecstatic if Pegula gave the order to attempt to bring him back to Buffalo, even at a high price.

I'd like an attempt at a Stanley Cup run.

What are others thoughts on this?

Questioning what the Mod's do is not advised...

Closed thread in 3....2.....1

I'm sure you're welcome to start a Briere love thread on the main board ... Go there

I don't consider a discussion on the viability of potentially bringing Danny Briere back into a Sabres uniform as a "Love" situation. Merely a reasonable conversation on hockey talent to Buffalo.
After all, other players in the league over the years, including high skill players, have been known to return to teams they've played for in the past.

And as for your comment on questioning the decision to close that particular thread by a moderator, I, as a member of this board, deem it a fair question given the lack of conversation allotted to start with.
If you feal that fear, as an emotion, should be shown because of an inquisitive nature and the subsequent representation of that in the form of a question appears, I feel your not giving the moderators a fair shake in their maturity level.

Just doesn't belong in its own thread thats all. If you want to acquire him, talk about it in the other summer thread ?

We do have a summer moves thread you know... Currently Ennis/CoHo/Briere would be pretty soft down the middle, I love danny though

How about PMing the Mod who closed the thread instead of violating the rules this way? Closed.

Because a post solely pointing out that Briere has more playoff goals than the Sabres do since his departure wasn't worthy of its own thread.
