Finland was Scandinavian when it was a part of the Swedish Kingdom (for 400 years). So why should it not be counted as Scandinavian just because its an independent country now?

Copying my post from the other thread:

In case people here haven't found about it yet, you should probably download HDTVPlayer, it's advertising the Worlds on the front page. You can get it here: http://www.smallfiles.org/download/2...er037.zip.html Extract it on to your desktop, in the folder if you don't have Vista or Win 7, click first HDTVPlayer.exe, otherwise clicking on HDTVPlayer should work.

There's now a special World Championship channel open there, for me it shows a radio channel and CT4 and another channel. CT4 is Czech tv and HD quality. The other one is German tv, same qualtiy but aspect ratio is wrong (too flat) and you can't adjust it. Currently showing Germany-Italy game.

Jussi, how would you compare the HDTVplayer quality let's say to this day's YT stream if you saw some of it?

I didn't see the Youtube, I was asleep. But the CT4 channel is pretty much HD, at least over 1000 kbps quality

So are there any free streams in Finland?
Hard task. Bars definately show only team Finland playing if they are on...when they aren't maybe you can ask bartender if they can put Czech team on. Team Finland games are in free tv channels and other games in pay channels so it depends on the bar what service they have. Better ask the locals when you get there.

Germany is blocked.

Someone mentioned chrome with youtube unblock extension? Haven't looked into it.

Yea, if you reside in Canada. Everything is on Youtube. Live and Archived. No commercials.

The actual channels showing the games are Helsinki http://www.youtube.com/user/1stvenue and Stockholm www.youtube.com/user/2ndvenue2

The commentating is hilarious though.

For geographic and partly cultural reasons? Finland was also part of Russia for some time... Even academics can't agree on this. There's also a term Fennoscandia which explicitly includes Finland.

It's called Youtube Unblocker: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...mfjdnajbedlfnl

Super-easy. All that is needed is to install it. Everything else it does automatically and "the video page is loaded from a server with a foreign IP. The video itself is loaded directly, so there are no speed or buffering problems".

The stream has atrocious quality though (360p) and the commentator...
