WCSF: Game 2 // Kings @ Blues // 8PM CT // TSN, CNBC
After the boarding, Alex Pietrangelo's body was taken to a quiet room where he failed a baseline test and was taken out of the series with a possible concussion. It did not have the effect the Kings had planned.... and we the St. Louis Blues showed up to Scottrade center to accept defeat kick some ass.
for those of you who live under a rock and don't know what the above is from
Just gotta take it one game at a time guys. Can't look at this as being without Petro for the whole series. Even if he's out tonight the boys need to come out with a lot of energy and anger, and just play their game. Hopefully Elliott is good again and we can feed off of the home crowd and get a win. Just gotta even up this series at 1, and then once we go to LA anything can happen, but we will just have to win at least 1 game over there too. It's possible. Gotta keep some confidence here. We've overcome adversity before and I expect Hitchcock to have us prepared.
Sounds like Petro is back. All I have to say is THANK GOD! I'll be honest, I didn't have much hope without Petro, but with him back in the lineup, I think it will rally the team, and they will come out firing.
I'll take Petro at 50% over the combination of Huskins/Cole at 100%. Not a shot at Cole/Huskins, Petro is just that important. Game on. 3-0 Blues. Goals scored by Steen, Petro, and Langenbrunner. Get on top early boys!
There is a God! Gotta imagine Petro will play tonight as long as he can turn his head. If he doesn't have a concussion I just don't see him staying out. This is fantastic news.
I also like adding D'Agostini to the lineup. He just needs to shoot the puck, which he is good at. Adding another guy to get shots on net is a good thing against a guy like Quick. Just throw pucks at the net and crash.
Looks good to me, hopefully we can bring home a winner! The team should be energized and ready to go!
Strickland said Pietrangelo didn't look comfortable, and Rutherford said he will be a game time decision. I'm just glad he is back on the ice, but if he plays, hopefully he is at full strength and not risking further injury. I wonder if we dress 7 defensemen as a precaution.
Let it be so. I was in the same boat as P9 last night. I only made it 2/3 of the Nashville/Phoenix game, but still enough to "scout" potential opponents. We HAVE to win this series. Due to lower seeds making upsets, we have our best chance yet at a cup. Petro will be a key player in big games, it's just who he is.
Did Pietro go down in the corner with Shatty during the greene goal? That was the last that he was on the ice all night right? If so then its possible that he may have twisted or pulled something then.
