Getzlaf & Perry were partying until 3 AM on Saturday-Sunday night, the two almost got into a fight as well but were stopped by the bouncers and some random outside person.

*Shrug* I've never seen a team that parties until 3 am winning anything.
In the club there were Finnish rap concert by Fintelligens. I probably would have wanted to beat somebody after that too

Finnish media and their color pens.

I don't see our world ranking changing much after this tournament. Hockey Canada needs a shake-up - Bob Nicholson and his cronies need to move on down the road.

I expect we'll be ranked 5th or worse based on what I'm seeing now...

Yep, this team is just embarrassmenting right now. Can't even have consistent zone play against France for ****s sake.

Liked seeing Kane on Getzlaf's wing. They needed somebody to skate.

Does anyone know why Babcock was there? Will the players dare to party with Babs' terrifying stare in Finland?

For sure a very very tough start for this team. They have not put together any good sequences. It was nice to hear that they changed up the defensive zone strategy, but clearly it hasn't been figured out yet, not surprising considering its only 1 day old. We just look totally lost out there. Absolutely no puck possession, no speed, no puck support, no gap closure, and zone entry is just terrible.

Still lots of games left, but man, we look terrible.

He's one of the oldest players on the team, played for Canada at the last Olympics, and is the Captain of his NHL team.

Who cares if they're partying? I'd probably do the same during the useless games.

If this happened the night before the USA game, it would be a scandal. But going out the night before a day off is hardly newsworthy.

Great to see the guys enjoying themselves. After a loss and a day off the next day, I would be out swindling women and getting a few bevy's in the system as well. It is a long tournament, they are rich young professionals I hope they go out and see what Finland has to offer. Just be ready to play and get the job done when it is crunch time.

You all have 3 minutes... haha

Canada 7 pts
Swiss 6
Finland 6
USA 5
Slovakia 3
France 3

Reading the last few pages of this thread you'd think Canada had zero points and were last place.

Fire everyone, this is ****ing **** that we are only 1 point ahead of second place. Completely unacceptable garbage

Considering the team that Canada has it should be doing better. It's not simply about standings...it's about how they are playing...and so far their play hasn't been all that impressive.

Yeah, we could be playing a lot better than what we are. We should have scored over 10 goals yesterday against France.
