If you give that Hall kid a couple of years he might amount to something!

Ryan Getzlaf named captain of Canada at the world championship. Dion Phaneuf and Patrick Sharp will be alternates.
Surprised to see Perry is not of the alternates.

Should be interesting to see. Burrows already has experience playing with players like them in the Sedins.

Why?

When was the last time Perry wore an 'A' in his life? Perry doesnt exactly scream leader, or character player

Well I generally thought that 50 goal scorer and Hart trophy winner could potentially be an alternate captain but I don't watch Anaheim Ducks play.

To be fair, neither does Phaneuf.

I'm not. To be honest, I don't even know why he's fourth string alternate in Anaheim. I mean don't get me wrong, I love the guy, and obviously I'm not in the locker room with them, but he doesn't really seem like a leader type.

Phaneuf is a very vocal guy on the ice. While being vocal on ice doesnt equal leadership, he does provide energy and encouragement to the guys around him.

He wore an 'A' last year at the Worlds, is the captain of Toronto, and also wore an 'A' in Calgary.

Corey Perry as the above poster said has only ever wore an 'A' in his career at the 2010 worlds, when he was the lone returnee from the Olympics.

Well, reading from the comments it seems like I am wrong. I will gladly take that statement back.

Tell that fan that.

I asked, "since when does Benn play C?"

I think Kane would be the best option for RNH-Eberle. He plays a power game similar to Hall and can drive to the net well.

Burrows sucks at everything. He just somehow scores 25 goals every year.

Apologies if it's been posted already, but here's a link to Alex Burrow's blog from Helsinki.

Sounds like he's excited to play with Eberle and RNH and represent Canada!

What was the context of that reply? It's entirely possible whoever told you that thought you were asking about the captain's C and not position.

Not yet. Neither is Methot.

However, they can be added up to 2 hours before the game. Personally hope Murray can get in.
