Ryan Murray will partner with Duncan Keith.

Canada d-pairs vs. SVK:

Phaneuf - Vlasic;
Keith - Murray;
Bouwmeester - Schenn.

Goalies: Ward starting, Dubnyk back up

Canada had better get some help on D soon or it could get ugly.

Any chance that Weber jumps if Nashville is ousted?

I take it Subban and Burrows are out for the tourney.

Any info on him? Are roster changes allowed, in case he's concussed?

Weber stands to be a UFA this summer I believe, so I highly, highly doubt he takes that risk. Pretty standard for guys to sit out on UFA years.

I don't know the rules as far as adding players at this point, the guy that might know on this board is Systemfel, I think that's his name.

If Burrows is out - Spezza, Versteeg, Marchand or Moulson

If Subban is out - Campbell, Seabrook or White

If Methot is out - Gudbranson, Cowen or McDonald

For the first game, teams must declare a roster of up to 20 forwards and 3 goalies. After the first game, teams are allowed to add 2 more players to that total.

Canada only had 19 & 3 for the first game, so they can add 3 more players. Kevin Lowe already indicated that he's adding 2 more defenseman. No word yet if he will add another forward.

Maybe Petro's on the way.

From what I understand Spezza wanted in. But I don't think Hockey Canada is very high on him- especially to replace a guy like Burrows. If is was a 1 or 2C, maybe.

I heard a few years back a member of the HC brass texted his brother (a member of the press) that if Spezza and Heatley were who the Sens were counting on, they are in big trouble...

Doesn't he hold the record for most points at the worlds by a Canadian? or something like that?

I can pretty much promise that Petro will not be going, the guy is barely suiting up now in the playoffs, he's way too injured.

We need help on the defense big time, and Jason Spezza would be a good addition on the forward side.

Maybe TSN is trying to get people to watch it, but they keep saying how good this roster is. The defense is definitely NOT a Gold Medal calibre. Also, they forgot about 2008 team so fast. That team was deadly.

This roster is a lot better than ones we have won gold with in the past. What roster exactly are you comparing this to? On paper its far better than what Finland won gold with last year.

Unless the concussion is terrible, I see no chance burrows gets replaced.
You think burrows who worked his way up to play for team canada would just end it with a hit like that, no chance.

Baring a huge injury, burrows will still play

Find it kind of odd someone from HC would say that about Heatley, that's all...

You have more faith than I do. His head hit the ice awfully hard. It didn't look good.

I'm with you on this one....I thought Subban was going to come back from his "minor knee" injury....If he hit his head, he should stay out, and call someone else...

Sometimes i get the impression that the management running this Team look like the 3 stooges....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4IoUo_ZJkY
