Surprisingly good. The word swipe feature works really well and is very cool.

I'm still getting used to it so I'll probably get faster, plus the keyboard learns how you type.

Without a doubt it's the best touchscreen keyboard that I've ever used.

For advertising budgets of big companies, that's for sure. I believe GM or Ford alone spend over $1B a year in advertising.

It isn't on there yet, and neither is whatsapp. They are coming though. I might pick up one of these in the summer but I'm hoping they come out with one that is bigger, like the bigger Samsung phones.

Still not quite as good as a Physical Keyboard though.

BlackBerry says Z10 Canadian launch was best in company history

BlackBerry says Z10 Canadian launch was best in company history:

"It was more than 50% better than any other launch day in our history in Canada"

“In the U.K., we have seen close to three times our best performance ever for the first week of sales for a BlackBerry smartphone,”

I played around with a z10 today at a Virgin Mobile kiosk, and I like it a lot. I need to get some things figured out with life before I can decide on whether or not I want to purchase a new phone. The likelihood is that I am getting a z10 within the month though.

It works much better on the Z10 than on the PlayBook.

Does this mean Blackberry is making a comeback? Or we have to wait and see what happens in the US first?

Well so far they've launched in 2 markets & they've set 2 BlackBerry sales records (50% better first day sales in Canada & 3 times better first week sales in the UK) so they're definitely off to a great start.

That sales record doesn't mean a lot really. It's a "blackberry" sales record. Blackberrys have been selling poorly for a long time. And comparing it to original blackberry sales years ago isn't really telling since the smart phone market has exploded since then.

But the release of these new phones is definitely good for BB as it seems. Hopefully they do well, the best thing to happen to the smart phone market is more competition/innovation.

I think your best bet as a consumer is to wait and see how the new BB pans out. Perhaps jump on board when they release the next iterations.

Even Apple's comeback was a slow process. BB is off to a great start.

You seem to forget that as recently as 3 years ago BlackBerry was the # 1 selling smartphone in North America.

They were # 1 in US smartphone market share for a long time.

Not to mention that the sales records weren't just beaten, they were absolutely shattered.

Exactly. Hopefully the trend continues as more Carriers around the world release the phones.

BlackBerry Q10

We already know that the BlackBerry Q10 will have a smaller screen than the BlackBerry Z10 but apparently the BlackBerry Q10 will have a Bigger Battery (2100 mAh instead of 1800 mAh) than the Z10.

The combination of a smaller screen and a bigger battery should really extend the battery life compared to the Z10.

I see no reason that Blackberry would get any worse. This is a better product and if anything Blackberry was a likable loser, much like the Leafs have become. There is a definite place for them in the smartphone market. Where that stands is the question we won't have a better idea about until - in my opinion - around this coming November-December.

I think you should ask someone else since all his answers are positive with a spin.

I spent a good amount of time using this phone,

the battery does not last me a whole day, the keyboard is decent but nothing revolutionary, I think my droid's swype keyboard is faster and much bigger keys on a 4.7 inch screen.

The phone is simply just an upgrade over Blackberry's previous OS, nothing wowed me or it does not have one outstanding feature that trumps the competition. I didn't get the same feeling when I first got my hands on a droid. I suggest you test it before you buy it.
