I think he was joking about the fact that the Sens will never make it all the way there.

But I do believe that if the Oilers make the playoffs, ANYTHING can happen.

I dunno about the East but if Burke mans up and trades for Luongo, they'll make the playoffs, if he doesn't, nice knowing ya Toronto.

This is a biased board. I'd like to see what the other fan's rankings are then take a consensus from the total.

WEST: I think the West will be even more competitive this year. Much less distance between 1st and 2nd last. Columbus is obviously gonna be dead last for a few years. Every other team should be competitive. With a few of the traditional playoff bound teams...Pheonix, Detriot, taking big steps back.

1. Vancouver Canucks (Still best overall team in the west)
2. St. Louis Blues (Good system will get them to the playoffs and little more)
3. Los Angeles Kings (Up and down year again)
4. Chicago Blackhawks (Bad goaltending)
5. San Jose Sharks (Good system will get them to playoffs and little else)
6. Edmonton Oilers (Really do have chance with some good coaching, luck, and developement)
7. Dallas Stars (One year making the playoffs and then 2-3 more out without a sniff)
8. Calgary Flames (I hate Feaster, I hate the flames but i think they improved enough to make the playoffs next year)
9. Colorado Avalanche (Just do not like thier team overall, missing something)
10. Minnesota Wild (These guys were every bit as bad as Columbus from the halfway point on. Adding two studs and a rookie or 2 will not make them a playoff team this year.)
11. Nashville Predators (big step back)
12. Detroit Red Wings (big step back)
13. Anaheim Ducks (don't know why they suck but that shouldn't change)
14. Phoenix Coyotes (Big step back)
15. Columbus Blue Jackets (Horrible horrible team)

EAST: I think the East is horribly inferior to the West overall. I think the East has gotten significantly worse again this year comming up. On the plus side because of the overall weakening the East should have a more interesting playoff race. A bit less separation between 1st and last than usual.

1. New York Rangers (Good system with enough good players, solid team)
2. Boston Bruins (Good system with enough good players, solid team)
3. Pittsburgh Penguins (All O)
4. Philadelphia Flyers (Step back but still a cut above the rest)
5. Washington Capitals (Back to scoring in bunches)
6. Ottawa Senators (With alfie back and some rookies they squek in)
7. Carolina Hurricanes (Big step forward)
8. Buffalo Sabres (Should be a playoff team. Lots of Talent)
9. Florida Panthers (Nice team. Waiting on prospects that can take them to the next level)
10. New York Islanders (Like the small moves they made if Vis actualy ends up there a small step forward)
11. Winnipeg Jets (Yuk, do not like thier team. played above thier rank last year)
12. New Jersey Devils (Kicked in the groin will not recover for some time)
13. Tampa Bay Lightning (The eastern version of Ana. Good on paper. Very bad on the ice)
14. Toronto Maple Leafs (I don't hate Toronto. I would like to see more Canadian teams in the playoffs. I think there team is gonna be horrible for a long time.)
15. Montreal Canadiens (I hate watching this team dive its way into the playoffs year after year. Last season begins a long stretch of sad disgusting hockey with years before they can even hope to be back in the playoffs.)

STANLEY CUP FINALS 2013: Vann over Pits

Conn Smythe: Sedins

Calder - Shultz
Ross - Malkin
Richard - Ovie
Hart - Stamkos

Adams - Krueger :-)
