I think it has something to do with the fact that Mtl. is not #2.

And what trade-able assets does Columbus (#2) have (outside Nash, who will only play here) that Edmonton needs?

Thus draft sucks, and there won't be much wheeling and dealing.

I liked the part where the Hawks and Canucks traded.

Especially moving down 4 spots requires adding a 2nd round pick

First.. Chicago is not trading with Vancouver.

Second, I get Chicago has a goaltending need.. but, last I checked.. goaltenders, even elite ones take 3+ years to develope to make any sort of impact in the NHL. If Chicago is looking for goaltending help, they're be looking for immediate help. I think Chicago takes a goalie relatively high, but in the 2nd round.. not the 1st.
