I think george still has some tinkering to do. He might want to upgrade one or two spots on the roster. He's known to throw in a block-buster in the early part of the season. Would be interesting and a good shake up IMO.

Bulls announce Brendan Gaunce as their captain with Silas, Austin, Curtis and Cramarossa wearing the rotating A's.

Can't post a link for some reason but it was on the Bulls homepage.
So Simmonds made the final roster? What a krock! I guess George still hasnt grown a set yet.... Quite sad actually, and a waste of a roster spot

Agreed !! but, good luck with that wish.

Well, if you think he's taken a rookie's spot just remember that he is a vet now and won't be rotating with the rookies as a healthy scratch either. So that's a double negative for present and future development. AS someone once said, what happens next year when determining who stays on as an OA?

Happy New Season Bulls fans!
The NHL can go and stick it up thier ****
Two of my favourite prospects face off against each other tonight, Bulls Daniil Zharkov and Alex Galchenyuk...and the pouty politics of the NHL and NHLPA is way,way off my Radar.
Have a great night, both Bulls and Sting!

Random thoughts from last night's game;

- I liked the kid line, exceeded my expectations for their first game. Hargrave has been criticized a bit, I like the kid and his size. His skating will only get better as he gets a bit older. I sure hope these guys continue to get minutes.

- Reid Boucher may well lead the world in shots at net this year. Played well, was robbed at least once by Subban. Hit the target a bit more and could be 50 goal scorer this year.

- Murphy is a pleasure to watch - still say he is one of the best D we have had through this organization. Enjoy.

- Anthony DeAngelo, 16 still??? Wow.

Question: Are there any really good twitter sources for Bulls' updates? I help with a Winnipeg Jets Blog (www.arcticicehockey.com) and we'd like to get as many sources for news on our prospects (for you guys it's Brassard).

Thank you

Hi there. @OHLBulls is the official Bulls feed but Bulls Insider also does tweets. Not sure of their twitter handle though.

Ridiculous isn't it? Simmonds is using up a roster spot that one of the rookies could have. This guy wouldn't even make the Wellington Dukes.

Hi all,

Just found out about this board. Nice to talk Bulls hockey with other fans. I'm now a 5 year season ticket holder and expect big things from the boys this year. Still upset that Scott Simmonds is on the team though.

The Bulls open the year with two straight wins by defeating Plymouth 3-2 in a SO.

Well, the press box will be full of rookies this year...at least 3 each game or probably 4 if they don't get rid of a forward. That's too many guys not developing sitting in suits. Still can't figure out why teams carry 5 lines of forwards when they typically use 3 lines in games. I can see why guys are upset with Simmonds taking up one of those critical spots. It'll be interesting to see how DeSousa will ever get a chance to play a game with all those veteran D?

Kuptsov is playing Friday which is no surprise but DeSousa getting a start finally was a surprise. Apparently Bignell was suspended for something? Any connected Bulls fans know why? And for how long?

Bignell was suspended for third man in, you can watch the incident in the video clips from the Plymouth game on the Bulls website. Desousa would have to be in by default because the Bulls only carry 7 D, but it was time to give him a shot anyways. Excited to see Kuptsov, he has an intriguing blend of size and skill.

Edit: I think the Bignell suspension is two games, might be three.

What was the Bignell suspension for and when did it happen? As for younger Crammar he's also playing tonight along with DeSousa. A first for both during reg. season.

Third man in. He's out for two games. Kuptsov is in tonight along with Desousa. Does that leave any room for Crammer?

If Crammer Jr. is in, I would expect one of Lemmon, Simmonds or Carnevale to be scratched tonight... hopefully Simmonds.

ZERO goals against a not so strong opponent is scary. Bulls need offense and they need it now or else Malcolm will have to shut out teams. He can't do more than he is and allowing only one goal in 3 periods should allow the team a chance to win every night but scoring as always is the major issue. And trying to make a 'run' isn't gonna happen unless that changes fast.
