Doesn't discount that they're both goal-scorers.

Coyle... Along with a NHL player and another 1st round selection. I'm not saying we couldn't get a 1st round pick for Granlund - we definitely could. Why would we, though? He's one of the top prospects in the entire world. I don't have confidence that we be able to snag anyone better. Not to mention he's a Finn, who's building chemistry with Koivu, arguably our only "core player."

The organization hasn't made enough drastic moves for you?

Not sure what you mean by "In our eyes he has exceeded expectations." Granlund's a top prospect and regarded very highly by the entire NHL, not just our organization.

We took the first steps towards putting a new face on this organization when we hired Fletcher, who proceeded to transform Minnesota's prospect pool into one of the NHL's best. We hired Yeo, who's strength is supposedly working with younger players and playing an up-tempo, offensive game. If this isn't enough change for you, I don't know what to say!

He hasn't even played one game for the organization! My God, people.

I know we jokingly declare prospects a bust after one bad game, but I can't believe people are beginning to consider trading our organization's top prospect.

Not only should they trade Granlund, they should move the team to Hamilton, blow up the X, and put in a parking lot!

Don't throw fuel to the fire, it's one person, not people, not a fan base, one person.

Just to add some context: At the 1993 World Championships Peter Forsberg got 2 points in 8 games. This year Granlund has 4 in 7 games. A poor WC showing does not a bad hockey player make.

Good clean hit. Didn't leave his feet nor did he take multiple strides towards him. Just a nice glide in with the point of impact being the shoulder. How the game should be played.

So, Slovakia eliminates Canada in OT.

Also, Russia advances to the Semi-Finals and USA vs. Finland is up next.

Koivu has had a few scoring chances in the first here...Granlund had a great one too but it was saved. Finland looking good towards the end of the first.

really liked what I saw from Granlund in the first, made a few hits, took a few hits, aggressive on the fore-check, didn't look like he was shying away at all.

Yeah, I was happy with Granlund's performance, at least when compared to past couple of games. In his line Immonen is struggling the most, and Pesonen needs to be that third link completing the MG-Immonen axis, at this level he seems to thrive the most when he doesn't need to hold the puck too much.
