Their goalie has 0 confidence.

He makes easy saves look hard.

Reminds me of the bits and pieces of the WJC I saw where Gustafsson (or however it's spelled) was constantly fighting the puck.

Brodin on the ice for all 3 of Swedens goals.

Don't think he has an assist though.

His presence willed the puck into the net.

Damn right it did.

Brodin seems to be getting more playing time as the game goes on.

I think Hedman was benched and Brodin picking up the extra minutes.

Wow. I've never been big on Hedman, but he was pimped as a franchise D-man.

Did anyone catch the Swedish defender who kept the puck in, which got passed to Alfredsson? That was a great keep-in.

Karlsson

Edit:

Brodin finishes game +1, played 17:30, 7:13 in the 3rd period.

Was at both games played in Finland yesterday, both were awesome hockey. Finns packed the arena for Slovaks more than Swedes did for their own team, and boy did we cheer that team to victory over Canada. Whenever slovaks entered the zone they were accompanied with ferocious clapping and cheering, I think we really did make the difference in the end.

Then the Finland game, we had ticks in the upper bowl with my sister, but noticed that the lower level section behind USA bench had quite few empty seats, we circled around the arena during the intermission and got brilliant seats even though the atmoshphere was better in the upper stands, the seats were still sick and the atmosphere kicked out the roof after Koivu tied it up. I was there with my Minnesota Wild 3rd #9 sweater, took it off after that goal and waved it around

How has Brodin and Granlund looked against competition in the worlds?

Granlund, alongside the whole second line has been really bad if not counting the Switzerland game. Granlund plays like he has zero confidence; I hope for his sake that he comes to visit Minnesota in June, just to get out of the whole hyping and following the Finnish media does for him.

Mikael finally gets his first goal as he directed Järvinen's shot in. Unsurprisingly, it was between shifts when Mikko Koivu just happened to be on the ice at the same time. 6-2, Russia giving a beating

Too bad, the CZE/FIN game is a little bit too early so I'm gonna miss it.

PVR FTW.
