‘HBO 24/7′ returning for Season 3 with Red Wings and Maple Leafs

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-pu...tml#more-32050

Quote:
The other significant change: The NHL expects to have a Canadian network partner in presenting "24/7" next season.
"We're going to have another partner to announce, who will take the series in Canada," Collins said. "I think this is one of the benefits of having Toronto in the game. They're paying attention to this in ways that, frankly, they haven't previously in the market up there."
May be, it will be broadcast on a Canadian network too (apart from HBO Canada)? Like CBC/CTV?

Hope they do something with the roster so it won't be painful to watch.

The NHL probably regrets this.

I hope this doesn't mean a watered down, censored version of the program.

"We're going to work a little more closely with HBO on production. We've been in partnership with them, but now that we have an original productions group here, we're going to work a little more closely with them on the production side," said Collins.

What does that partnership entail?

"I think it's going to be more of a collaboration," he said. "To the fan, they won't see any difference in production whatsoever. We're not going to limit access. We're not going to change any approval rights. There won't be anything different about this."
They're going to **** it up.

I hope not. The GMs should be in the background at best. Did we see much of Sather or Holmgren in the last 24/7 series? No.

I think TSN or Sportsnet will pick it up. But I think The Score would be the best place for it.

Wish we weren't in this...I'm almost certain 99% of the NHL thought the Leafs would get the playoff monkey off their back this past season.

Now it will be the center of the talk in HBO, adding to more distraction and possibly more excuses if we miss the playoffs, yet again.

Hopefully the roster looks a lot better..It would be terrible going into this year with LACK.

I would've made our spot in the Winter Classic contingent on making the playoffs

I'm pretty sure The Score is dead last in ratings (by a large margin). TSN is #1 and Sportsnet is #2. TSN has evolved greatly in the last two years and incorporated a lot of new facets to its organization.

Eh. I don't like the idea of a Canadian network picking it up if it means a highly censored watered down version.

I don't want to see Carlyle yelling and saying the team is playing like "bull flippin' spit".

If it's CBC, expect alot of stuff to be censored, which to be honest, isn't all that much other than the occasional poopoo and peepee. Still, I see myself wanting to see it all uncut on HBO.
