Have you guys heard anything about V. Tarasenko? Really hoping he comes over and plays for the Blues now but starting to think he is going to stay in Russia until the Olympics.

Hotice is saying Korneev will be a CSKA player again on a two year contract.
That'll be nice, I still have his jersey when he played here before.

Sport-express is official?? Until a contract is signed and announced on the blues site, it's not official.

But I think it'll happened anyway.

if true, I'd be very happy to be able to bring our players back. While not great, Korneev, Denisov, Ryasenskiy, Rylov, Guskov, Meenpia - good D!

I don't want to open a new thread just for one question, so little OT and question for russian members. Is there some good books about russian hockey or russian clubs (like CSKA, Dynamo, MMG) ? I started to learn Russian, so getting some books about hockey would be perfect way to get my russian better

yes
now it looks like lalande and haugen are our goalies this upcoming season.
matushkin is still looking for #3 belarusian goalie, 1st line center and puck-moving d-man for pp (both are meant to be foreigners) - since petya podhradsky has left for donbas this spot is vacant.
the biggest concern is this center spot, which haven't been filled for more than a year. and now, after corso departure it becomes even more complicated. our fans wondering how this team, which definetely has become weaker, will perform
while riga signed numerous promising ahlers, we signed lonely frogren.

I was very impressed by Haugen. Seems as tho he was able to really solidify his game in BOL last season, then a coupe of great playoff games in Minsk. To cap it off, he had a phenomenal performance at the WC, where Norway did really well!

Im exited to see him in the KHL now, but there were some rumors that he was going to Brynas of the SEL
Does anybody have more information on this specifically? I know he has one more year on the contract with Minsk, but still.

Now there are 3 Norwegians in the KHL; Patrick Thoresen, Lars Haugen, and Mats Zuccarello! The two forwards are really good players, hopefully KHL can get a nice Norwegian following

It had to do with Svedberg leaving the club to go to the NHL and Haugen has connections due to the goalkeeper coach there. They were supposedly close to signing him to a two-year deal and giving him the starting job.

However, Haugen came out a day later and said he had no other plans then the play in Minsk this season. Said he was promised atleast the number 2 spot and that he is still young and wants to see what he is able to do in the KHL.

Any ideas who? Going by players not under contract, S. Da Costa would be a nice addition or on the back end assuming GSHC dosnt exercise their option year, taking Hecquefeuille. Though assuming Slovan could work out a deal, getting either Meunier or Bellemare would probably be best outside Da Costa, or Auvitu is you can get from JYP but would end up being more of a project .
