I do not believe MPS has high ceiling anymore. His value is gone down considerably.

That's not gonna happen. Why do you over value Bernier so much. You have quick. If I were LA I would pounce on this deal.

probably because Khabibulin is going to retire in a few years, where Quick makes Bernier expendable with the other goaltenders LA have in their system but that's just my guess, who knows, right.

I am an Oiler fan and even i can see LA would want no part of this.

A more reealistic one might be

MPS or Sam Gagner for Bernier.

lol is that an attempt at a troll? from the team picking 1st overall for the 3rd straight year? Trolling about a trade in which the Kings got a player who is currently beast mode-ing the playoffs?

Hemsky for Bernier? Done and done again from an Oiler standpoint.

Really, because I'd value him like Bishop and he was only worth a 2nd, and there is plenty of better UFAs.

Quite the body of work...

Anyway Edm does this deal especially with Yakupov on the horizon to play RW. Bernier is a very good prospect but has proved nothing yet so we need not get ahead of ourselves. More valuable than Bishop, probably Markstrom too at this pt (though it is debateable).

Not my first choice for a goalie to go after, rather have Rask.

It's possible to trade players on the IR. After all, Pascal Leclaire was traded.
(Yes, he was on the IR at the time. Shut down for the season, actually.)

He still has a very high ceiling, it's just looking less likely that he'll ever reach it. Still any player with his combination of size, speed and skill has a lot of untapped potential.

and that's not just the Lucky speaking, Paajarvi is filled with potential at such a young age, just needs to strengthen up. The kid definitely has wheels and the hockey i.q.

God blessed him with size, speed, skill and a good hockey IQ. Only fair that he got the shaft in the looks department.
