Before my time too, but man feel so sorry for your Die Hard Otters Fans, this team and Franchise, even with McDavid is "ON THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" Don't know if there has ever been a worse OHL team.
The Spits have major problems as well but nothing like Erie, hopefully the Otters can get hitch a ride back from the Int Space Station to Planet Earth next year LOL !

What great win for Erie tonight in front of the sell out crowd. Both Windsor and Erie were short benched and both teams came to play but Abraham's snipe wins it in OT.
I really like what I saw from Darren Raddysh out there tonight, I think he was their best defensman the whole game and in the third he made a few huge plays. He may be the reason why Patrick Murphy is not up right now, I like Murphy but Raddysh has looked better and better each game and I think he is playing better than a lot of their other defensemen out their. He could turn out to be a steal in the draft.
Spencer Abraham made great use of foxy and mc david on the GWG.
they drove to the center taking the d with them and he skated up the lane and let a wrister go that deflected off a stick and ended up
top shelf.
After the Quick first goal (12 seconds) I thought here we go again.... but the boys dug in and pulled it out.
a win in front of a sell out
a win on a meet and great night
and they out shot the other team.....
who would have thunk it
If the group wants to progress to the next level they need to sell! Having SB and PS etc. running this team is going to get the "vote of non confidence" from this fan.

I think we should wait and see what changes are made for next season.
No doubt there has been terrible mistakes the past two years for sure. Thinking a defensive corp with one top four D, a couple of rookies and four no. 5-7 D, was actually going to create more than 20 wins this season was a pipe dream. Just look at how this D performs without Pelech!
If nothing changes - right the management off. If they do what is needed and bring in 3-4 quality D, without impacting the core of the forwards or goaltenders - then they will have a good team.

That is what I am watching for.
I agree with what you are saying but it will be tough to get 3-4 quality defensmen in one off season with out giving up some of the core. I know they have the OHL Draft and Import draft but at most that would be two players. Erie would be forced to give up some quality to get quality in return. They have at least one forward that could be moved and generate a good return, and I dont think it would change the teams outlook up front a whole lot.
It is to bad, second year in a row now there has been no playoffs and 10th in the conference. All we have to look forward to is next year, with the right additions and departures could still be bright.
I also hope for the player's sake this gets turned around. I know we as fans can dump on them, but this has been the youngest team in the league for two years and this is a 19/20 year old league. Erie has none of its draft picks from the 1992 and 1993 draft. That is the the biggest failure with this team. It only has four 1994s left, five if you include Dansk.
From its own draft
1992 (OA) - none
1993 - none
1994 - five
1995 - five
1996 - five

Biggest failure? Hmm How many of these 75+ players were given an opportunity? I can think of several that are

Well I thought the SPITS were terrible and yeah they are latley, but Rychel will turn it around with a scorched earth policy if needed. As for you guys 9 to 1 loss yesterday, what an embarrasment to the League and your city if you are from ERIE. Wow wonder if McDavid wonders what he got himself into. Saw the kid play once and was blown away by the skill, but this is turning into a joke. I mean at least Tavares and Eckblad had a decent supporting cast and they would be the first to tell you, that is what helped them get to where they are. It is not even funny is very, very, very sad. Do you actaully think drafted players, even with McDavid there are gonna want to report to ERIE. Look at it on the bright side, dead last place last year, 2nd from dead last this year, maybe and just maybe, next year you can be third from dead last next year and catch the SPITS and in 7 years maybe catch the un catchable KNIGHTS.
All kidding aside, hope if you are an ERIE ticket holder somehting happens, maybe sell the team, any takers, what 5 or 6 million would be the price.

The team was a for sure disappointment this year but I really think a good off season and this team will easily make the playoffs next year. It is hard to do a line-up for next season this early on but I will give it a try.
Crisp-McDavid-Fox
Brown-Cairns-97 1st round pick
Hodgson-Pettit-Betz
Wigle-Evans- (remaining forwards battle plus new draft picks)
I left out Harper because I think they should move him and a 2014 2nd rounder for a good defenceman. Also Wood is not in there, I think they need to keep him with a position and stick with it or maybe move him too.
Defense
Pelech- Import selection/Abraham
d-man from the Harper trade- Abraham/Import pick
Kuzmyk- Felker/Raddysh
out defensively- Kuleshov, and trade Donnay and the extra OA d-man. Right now I left out McDowell but that could change come training camp.
