Which Bruins Prospects Play a Full Season in Boston?

Simple poll that we can come back and look at annually. I love this board for the information gained about the players in the system but find we pencil in too many of them into the future lineup when it is clear that this team has a young core already in place for years to come.

Pick away.

Whether he "plays" a whole season remains to be seen, but I'd bet Hamilton spends next season with the Bruins.

Dougie Hamilton is my first choice as he was the OHL defenseman of the year and really what more can he learn in a lower league playing against kids.

He needs to play against men to further develop his game, and playing as a 4th, 5th, or 6th defenseman on the Bruins will do this.

Having Chara and Seidenberg help develop his game is another plus and thus is the reason I believe Dougie Hamilton will play a full season in Boston next year.

You can vote for as many as you think will play a full season as a Bruin.

Is Carl Soderberg really still considered a prospect?

Good choice and think that he is a great prospect, but that Boston moves him before he plays a full season with the Bruins. Voted for Knight, Spooner and Hamilton only.

I think Hamilton will likely spend the whole season here although I am not convinced he is going to play all 82 games. I think he sits on a bubble much like Seguin did-too good to really develop in juniors, but the rules not allowing him to go to the AHL to adjust to playing with adult men.

I also figure one of Knight or Spooner may earn a spot on the team. I am not convinced anyone in Providence is going to earn a spot and spend the whole season here (MacDermid might if Paille moves on and the team doesn't re-sign Pouliot).

Wouldn't be shocked at all to see Camara break into a fourth line role in the next couple of years.

I took this poll as who would eventually make it for a year and not as next year...so if so...my picks...

Camara, Ferlin, Koko, Knight, MacDermid, Spooner, Button, Dougie, O'Gara, Trottman and Gothberg.

A little confused if you meant next year or ever. Next year, I think MacDermid has a shot if Paille and/or Campbell are not resigned. Hamilton is almost a lock to me, simply because he's too good for juniors and the AHL isn't an option. One of Knight, KoKo, Spooner and a couple of others could make the team if they had an awesome camp, but betting against it.

In the long run, there are a group of guys like Volden, O'Gara, Cross, Fallstrom, Button, Cohen, etc. who I think will definitely play at least one full NHL season, but whether it is with the Bruins or not is tough to say. Trades, injuries, free agents, etc. will determine if they are Bruins or not perhaps more than their skill will.

Spooner, Knight, MacDermid, Hamilton, and Cross. I would confidently bet those 5 will see solid minutes in the spoked B.

The Bruins web site is off a lot.

They still have Alexandrov listed, even though he was traded to the Islanders at the deadline.

And they don't list Krug anywhere.

Warsofsky and Kevan Miller are listed on the Boston roster, even though they played in Providence.

Coach--you might want to remove Alexandrov (traded) and add Kevan Miller.

I voted just Knight. Assuming the Bruins keep Campbell and Kelly along with acquiring a top 6 forward i can't see Knight or Spooner making the team. At this point neither of them are better than Caron. I know HF loves the new shiny prospect but this is certainly the case. I would say Knight or Spooner could be the 13th forward however i can't see that happening in favor of sending them o Providence to gain experience

Hamilton will likely stick. Nothing he can learn in the OHL. He'll just get used to dominating.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Macdermid on the 4th permanently for the season. Knight and Spooner fight for 3rd line rw with Caron. Can't see Caron losing that, though. Possibility, though. If Kelly is gobe, KoKo is an option, but I'd expect another vet if he doesn't.
