It's not like we wouldn't find out with all the camera phones and tabloid media.
Mike Richards?

Alcohol is loaded with carbohydrates. All of the elite athletes carb load before a sporting event when they know that their endurance will be put to the test.

Maybe Radulov and AK thought for sure that the game would be going into overtime.

How could the Preds suspend one of the players we built their team with?

I thought Andrei was the older man here? Should he be mature enough figure out getting hammered late in the evening before a critical playoff game isn't going to fly.

Maybe he was a big party-boy here too.

I really love how it's going from ''breaking curfew'' to ''getting hammered until the wee hours of the morning''.

AK also scored 1g, +1, 2 SOG, maybe he should break curfew more often.

You don't get married hundreds of times in a good career.
Lack of sleep means less growth hormones released for bodily repair. Combine that with booze. Not a good combo if the Cup is your goal.

Well, if John Shannon is going to toss tweets out acting like he's got the scoop but doesn't, I hope he gets penalized like Mike Wise did for his bs tweets.

anyways, disappointed with AK yet, strangely not surprised. and unless he decides to man up and act like a professional, i do not want radulov with this team anymore - unless he's real cheap

English translation for Nordiques return to Colisée....

Ladies and Gentlemen, here are your 2012-13 Quebec Nordiques/Coyotes featuring the faces of your franchise....

GM - Pierre McGuire (replaces Don Maloney)
Head Coach - Patrick Roy (replaces Dave Tippett)
Captain - Alexander Radulov (acquired by trading Shane Doan, Oliver Ekman-Larsson and a 1st round pick)

Not NHL, but Junior Seau apparently committed suicide. Wow. Apparently head injuries may have been a factor.

Cervenka is actually a pretty damn good player and I was hoping the Habs had interest 2 years ago when he first started showing interest in coming over to North America.

I'm pretty sure that won't be his official salary though. I think that's the maximum he will get if he hits all of the bonuses in the deal.

Tippet and Burke to the Habs, Doan and OEL to our friends in the West (Preds) and Nordiques a complete failure. You have created something perfect.

Yes, I did leave that off after "the alcohol for carb loading".

Pure speculation of course, but everyone is assuming that the Phoenix Coyotes will move, what if they don't? What if the NHL just decides it's easier and cheaper to fold them?

If Quebec and Toronto are such great markets for the NHL then why move an existing franchise to those 2 places at all? The NHL can charge expansion fees for those 2 markets, and actually make money off it.

Most people are assuming that because Winnipeg was able to get an existing team that Quebec should be able to get one too, but the situations are completely different. Phoenix is a bankruptcy. I'm not sure how that works but they may not be able to move them. The league may decide they have no choice but to fold them.

Of course, if they fold hopefully that means there is a dispersal draft. One has to assume that Yandle is the 1st player picked. OEL#2. Assuming we have the 3rd pick, who would we take? David Rundblad or Brandon Gormley, or a forward like Antoine Vermette or Radim Vrbata?
