Brown isn't a cheap player, look at videos of his big hits, always shoulder to chest. I'm not sure about the knee though, especially since the Kings scored shortly after, but the Coyotes had their chance to score earlier on their PP.

As I said, he's always on the border and he plays with edge, but I'm not sure he's hitting without intent to injure. If he pulled that kind of stuff against one of our guys, it might galvanize a different response. His hits have been clean (most, but NOT all), but that doesn't mean he's not cheap. He's still a great player. I think at this point he deserves the Conn Smythe. Great player, but some moments I really dislike from him so far. That said, Doughty is an embarrassment to the sport, the way he behaves. Imagine Crosby or Subban acted like that. Was he not aware that the Kings got away with two non-calls in OT before that + the kings started OT on the PP?

Also, he actually was right on both counts. Whitney grabbed his stick as much as he interfered, and he wasn't offside on the other one.

Absolutely. It wasn't like he slammed his stick once, or twice, or thrice. I think he skated a full lap around the rink yelling like a perturbed baboon. It was wayyyyy over the line. I agree he wasn't offside. But after you just pulled that previous hissy fit? Why doesn't everyone react like that to a bad call? It's called composure. Again, PK is considered the epitome of evil while being totally respectful to refs and never reacting to calls against him like that. Double standard drives me crazy.
