The fact that the Rangers came back to tie it and then still lost is glorious.

It could've been, not sure.

I just can't stand torts. Maybe more than any coach I can remember. I hated Keenan, milbury and Schoenfield (sp?) back in the 90's. BBQ Bruce was more pathetic than antagonizing. But torts...i just can't find the right words to express the disdain. His whining and tantrums are like fingernails on a chalkboard for me.

Looks like most of us have had the same horse in the races since the Pens went out.

If the Devils do close out the Rangers, I will root for the Kings, only because it would rip the hearts out of Flyer fans after booting Richards and Carter for 'character' reasons. But the Devils winning the cup would not bother me.

January:

"I'm very proud of the organization. I'm particularly proud of Mr. Sather because all the way back to 2004 when things weren't going so well and we had a lot of free agents here and we decided to basically re-do the strategy, Glen and I made a pact. I gave him something, which I won't reveal today, but I gave him something to seal the pact. I said, 'You can't give it back to me until we win the Stanley Cup.' And I think we're pretty close to getting that thing back."

My friend is a Rangers fan and boy was he ticked when Dolan said that.

“There were a couple of messages from Brooks (Orpik) and Sidney (Crosby),” former Penguins defenseman Rob Scuderi said. “Just them saying, ‘Good luck.’ It’s always nice to get a show of support from your friends.”

Should we start buying scuba gear and oxygen tanks now???

With all the crying that'll occur if the Rags lose tomorrow night, this place will flood for sure.

I just read on Hockeybuzz (Richard Cloutier, not Eklund) that the Oilers and Jackets have arranged a deal to swap 1st rounders. If true, tough break for the Jackets, having to lose assets to get a pick that you should've had in the first place.

to get a pick that they had the highest probability to have. Not "should" have had. Philly "should" have Patrick Kane too.

I give him some credit when breaking trades. It's just that his blog entries tend to be giant troll posts.

Are most of you rooting for the Devils or Rangers?
Can't see why many would go for those Devils here.

No, no it wouldn't rip their hearts out at all.

Most of them still love Richards and Carter (ESPECIALLY Richards) and would be extremely happy to see them win.

The Kings are still "Flyers West" to them. And they were even before the Richards and Carter trades.

If I had to choose, I'll go with the Devils because I hate the Rags alot more.

If the Devils face the Kings in the SCF....I really don't care who wins the Cup then. Though it'd be nice to see LA take it.

Actually I'd say almost 100% of our board is pulling for New Jersey. We have a bit of a rivalry with the Rangers. The Devils are just another team in our division.

For whatever reason our games against the Devils don't generate much bad blood. I think James Neal mentioned how hard it is to get up to play New Jersey during the season because of the dull atmosphere and/or not a lot of fans showing up at their new building. Rangers have more fans, a more hostile environment because of it and their coach and Dubinsky have taken some shots at our team and Crosby in the media in recent years.

I have never seen a Devil's fan make a thread on the main board about how the refs are out to get their team.

I do not run into Devil's fans who call Crosby names, talk about how we should have relocated to KC, bandwagon fans, the lottery was fixed etc.

I can not turn around on the main board without running into that constantly from Ranger or Flyer fans.

It is an easy decision. I actually have good conversations with Devil's fans, and their mods are top notch, like Classic Devil. Just in all my years here, most of my run ins with Devils fans have been overall good.

Can not say the same about so many from the other two fan bases.

I suspect for many here it is the same.

Other than my sometimes irrational hate for Brodeur, I don't mind the Devils. I actually like most of the Rangers players as individuals and have been a long time Brad Richards fan, but I can't stand many Rangers fans and I love watching Tort's face after every Devils goal. So, I pick the Devils.

Also, are you a Rangers fan? In the last series you called out Pens fans that wanted the Caps to win and now you are insinuating we shouldn't want the Devils to win. Just seems curious.

Devils fans are smart posters and tend to objective as possible. You have to be pretty dumb to get into an argument with them.

The Rangers are situated at the top of my dislike list - yes, even above Philly.I've told my friends this: I'll take a 1-0 win over the Rangers at the expense of a 10-0 loss to Columbus the next game.
