No no. People will just say Giroux is playing with passion.

But Sid and Geno get away with everything. It's frightening how biased people are.

Disagree, it has to be a suspension. Late hit on an unsuspecting opponent, principal point of contact is the head, done in retaliation. Don't know what else they'd be looking for to warrant supplementary discipline.

I don't really see it as cockiness, just passion combined with a lack of maturity. The early talk in the media about his great leadership was premature. He's fiery and leads by example, but he loses his composure at the drop of a hat if things aren't going his way.

Most people will write it off as "nothing serious." Because he is a superstar that is not playing in Pittsburgh.

Funny that NBCS didn't even talk about the hit during intermission (unless I missed it during the 30 seconds I couldn't hear the TV and wasn't looking at it).

If Devils win and go up 3-1 then he doesn't get suspended, if Flyers win and ties the series then 1 game.

He's had one good season and acts like a child on the ice. He's a good leader, I'll give you that but, he's an insanely cocky player.

Apparently everyone on the CBC Hot Stove said he should be suspended for the hit.

I did see that on the main board. I wanted to see what Jones said about it. They'll probably talk about it after the game.

Little late to the giroux discussion but... if a guy turns to the ref and *****es while going up ice and elbows an opposing player, that's a whiny *****. They can never call Geno or Sid a whiner if that just happened.

Then he preceded to keep yelling at the ref the entire time he was put in the box and while he was in the box.

This is a completely different Flyers team. I'm quite surprised right now.

The Devils don't even look that great in terms of playoff hockey. I like their overall passion, but they are a little loose with the puck. The flyers just have no need or passion the way they did against us. It's really strange.

Team ......... Fans ......... Media. Look up hypocrites in the dictionary and there is a picture of Philly there. Nothing new here, they always have been that way and always will.

Yeah, they ran into a team that can Penalty Kill. Imagine if our PK was even 60% successful. That would have been the difference.

Maybe we made them look better than they actually are.

We saw it in Game 4 during the 2nd period. The Penguins really dominated them that period.. and the true Flyers came out. Its a shame they had to drop game 1.. or that series probably woulda went Pitt's way.

You'd have to think that has something to do with it. I mean even though they have some vets on the team, plenty are still young and new to the playoffs. You have to learn quick to move from series to series and be ready and I don't think Philly was. They seem shocked that the Devils were ready to play after their 7 game series with Florida and with Kovalchuk banged up. Add to that they sat out a good week after their series with the Pens, Lavi changed up lines some, and they still haven't gotten much from Hartnell & Jagr.

Though not to take anything away from NJ. They def look better than they did in the first round themselves.

Like I said the other night, Giroux, Hartnell, and Voracek all have the same kind of look.

My dad just me laugh a bit.

He told me that Hartnell and Giroux are the biggest turds in the league and are the worst divers in the league.

Just like the dive Schenn had there.

I almost puke every time I see Schenn dive. It's so damn silly.
