I'd actually prefer 55/4 to Orlov right now. No need to throw the kid into the fire as he is still very raw and turnover prone...just like 55/4 except they have more experience.

???????????????
Seriously?
No he's not. He's had ONE bad turnover.
Other than that he's been very good all year.

No he is a turnover machine in his own zone. They don't always lead to goals but he struggled down the stretch in that regard.
I, like Hunter, prefer the more experienced players at this point. He plays a position where we have more experience ahead of him. He'll get his chance next year or perhaps if injuries occur this year.

I concur. 23 has not been bad by any stretch and the 4th line has chemistry. Why fix something that isn't broke?

When? He's been fine ALL SEASON.
He's made 1 bad turnover... Eitheryou're completely misremembering the season, or Dale has you brainwashed.
It took Aucoin a few games longer than usual to rack up a point or two, to buy him some slack from the fans. Playing with 2 big burly wingers seems a logical comfort zone. He gets worked over on the boards and in the net. His role is clear, be the finesse guy and play smart D. Dump it to a W and stay high dude.
Earlier in the loffs, sitting on a minus, getting overworked pretty much in every battle, and then seeing him on PP1 the same happening....
Anger directed at him should be directing at Dale. He is what he is.

You prefer Schultz or Wideman over Orlov?
Jesus.
He made several bad turnovers in the last game of the season vs the Rangers.
Yes Wideman for sure. Erskine/Schultz are both ahead of him at this point in my mind too as long as Schultz doesn't start playing totally passive again like in the first couple games vs the Bs.

i prefer 4 over both of them...although im very interested to see what the team looks like with 81 in lineup

I thought Schultz's ability to make a decent pass out of the zone last game contributed a good amount to the Caps not getting trapped in their own zone as much and also having a better transition game than in game 1.
Also Schultz played 17+ minutes in game 2 compared to Erskine's 8+ minutes in game 1. That is a big difference and takes a decent amount off the rest of the blueline corps.
"The Dale Hunter Capitals Really Do Have the Opposite Philosophy of the Bruce Boudreau CapitalsBy Joe DeLessio
"Let's get our fugging arses out of our heads." — Bruce Boudreau's advice to his team, December 12, 2011.
"Sometimes you just have to put eye in your butt and, you know, play for everybody." — Alex Ovechkin, after scoring the game-winning goal in Game 2 against the Rangers last night.
See, Boudreau was telling them to do it wrong all along. Also: eww."
I am interested to see if Dale does anything to protect Green at all. Like keep him away from Rupp. Limit his minutes if its obvious the B's have game planned to pummel him.
And for the love of the game, teach him how to take a hit. Its getting awkward watching him get nailed like he does.
Local radio guy Elliot tried to call Richards at the hotel today. No one in that name, so he asked for Tortorella. It seems the hotels and teams have wised up.

I'd prefer Erskine in many instances but not if Hunter is only gonna play him 5-10 minutes. He just doesn't trust Erskine.
Erskine has always elevated his play in the playoffs since he's been here. He prob will get another chance and he has to sieze it to get himself into the lineup regularly.
