NYR had the better legs by the end, which is amazing to me, given their TOI totals.

Not the end of the world. Even tho it feels like it.
They didn't though. Up until the ice timeout in the 3rd OT Caps were just dominating them.

the only goal the rangers scored in the first 5 periods of play was a double bank shot, lucky rebound/bounce. sometimes you are not meant to win a given game. big deal.

win the next one.

we had our fair chances but they earned it

i am f'in pissed still

our man coverage was lost all 5 chasing a shot wide on the same half of the ice. Hendricks tried to push Beagle back.

Caps had their share of breaks. Boyle's fat ass will have a bruise on it tomorrow as proof.

Looked likey the stopped sending in a forechecker and had him play behind the blue line. Passive 1-2-2. I'm guessing (hoping) hunter did it cause he saw we were gassed.

Just stopping by to say your team deserved better. Neither team deserved to lose this game. It was one of the greatest hockey games I have ever seen and your team played a huge part in that.

I think this series goes all the way to game 7. Best of luck throughout the rest of the series.

But they also hit their share of posts, and boyle blocked a game winner for rupp early in OT. both teams came very close multiple times, e.g. Ovie off the post and chimmer's deflexn in 3rd OT, also off the post.

I wish 21 had done more with his shot during the 3-on-1 in regulation, btw.

The Caps had no life for the entire 3rd OT. At least it seemed that way to me. Whatever. The Boys desperately need Game 4.

Good night everyone.

that is really deceiving. boyle blocked the net and the shot hit him. had he not been there holtby would have because boyle kept him from getting there. it looked worse than it was.

Crushing loss for sure. But whether it was an 8-0 spanking or a 2-1 triple OT loss, it's still only 2-1 series deficit. Keep your heads up guys. Get them in game 4.

i am never going to stop asking myself what it would be like right now if brouwer scored... or if Ovie didn't hit the post, or if... any of the other 5-8 really good chances we had in OT went in... just a ****** way to lose, the net had a force field.

Goodnight, it was a pleasure for this game. I would usually scream when the caps concede in OT but honestly this team and the fact Holtby doesn't lose two in a row fills me with huge confidence going forward. Peace out.

Not too worried. Caps are the better team the 1st 5 periods but looked gassed in the 3rd OT. We will win Saturday, no doubt. Lundqvist stole that game for them. He won't steal another.

Anyone else have a bad feeling this game is the turning point and our moral is shot now? Rangers might take this, because of this game

They just made one more play..

Tough loss, but let's see how the ice time affects Rags' D in the next game. Stay focused Caps and go get game 4.

Good night everyone.
A PK at that juncture pretty much drains you completely. With 2 PKs its automatic.

Yeah it goes up there with some past goals, like the Juneau missed penalty shot against the Pens. I wish the Caps could win every playoff game in regulation .

That is BS. Boyle's butt and a couple post went against the Rags too. Some of you are blind as hell. NY dominated the last 40 minutes or so. They skated circles around us, forechecked with gusto, we couldn't get the puck out...frankly it was an embarrassment and if I was a Rangers fan I would feel very good about my team's chances. Dale played the OT looking for nothing but a turnover goal. We rushed with no numbers forechecked with no numbers. We gave the Rags all the confidence they needed.
