Holtby was already flat on his stomach, and not because of boyle

Oh well.. They beat us pretty bad in the 3rd OT.. Thought those 4 defenseman were supposed to get tired? lol.. 2 OT PP's for the away team=pretty lame.. Plenty of chances to even it up and the refs swallowed the whistle, as usual.. Not surpised.. On to Saturday..

It was fatigue from playing extensively in our end. While we had a few chances we did not wear them down, mostly one and done.

You guys played great tonight. We both had our share of posts/crossbars in this game. The series is so close that it could still go either way. And we were due to finally win a playoff OT game after losing the past 8.

That's certainly the fear. I guess we'll see what our guys are made of in game 4.

Nonsense. It's Game 3, not Game 5 or 6...it's still a 2-1 series deficit just like with Boston. Two days off to shake this one off. They had their chances, Brouwer and Ovie especially...nets yawning open and just plain missing....

Hell of a game.

We're gonna lose 4 but win 5 and 6. 7 is the real wild card.

I think that PK was a full 2 in our zone?? Laich's clear... if you can call it that

Dale went tight in the final OT but we countered and got our fair share of chances.

Sarge looked fresh. The rest were gassed. Worse than the Rags I would say. Even before we sat back

Caps will win Saturday.

The Rangers won the battle tonight but they may have lost the war.

Well, he could hang his head a little about not finishing the 3-on-1, but ... he is right. Nothing to be embarrassed sbout for either squad. Take tomorrow off, get back on the horse Friday, and go win a game on Saturday.

Again, they were gassed because they played extensively in their own end chasing the puck. You tnink 4 NY defenders are im better shape than 6 Caps? People are confusing our chances with the territorial dominance of NY. Even the Hendricks play was a great individual play, but otherwise we did almost nothing on the forecheck. Our attempts at zone exit and our rushes were very passive and solely up the boards, barely used the center because of intense fear of a turnover. We made things very easy for them by shrinking the ice. Completely blown game by Dale and mark my words we will look back at this game as our dagger when all is said and done.

They should've scored after the epic Hendrixxx hit. Oh well, no big deal. We're winning this series.

that's what kills me.

We outplayed the Rangers the whole OT, and had way more chances than them.

Then just a split second and they get a goal.

I wouldn't be this dead if we didn't dominate the OT, and hit like 3 posts and had brutal misses like Brouwer.

I haven't moved

I blame the OP. The hockey gods frowned upon it.

You knew it was happening after a few minutes in the third. The better skating team won.

I thought we looked gassed in the 3rd OT and the Rangers kicked it up a notch.....it was a game of bounces that didn't go our way

Still... so many chances in the 1st and 2nd ot.

Don't remember if it was in the 2nd or 3rd, but Carlson's shot that was blocked, and then Wideman hitting the inside of the post on the ensuing faceoff... so many things to look back on.

McDonagh with 53:17. 13 minutes more than the Caps' high skater (Wideman)

Didnt expect it to be 20-83-26 out there for the GWG against. Not to mention 27 and 74. Still, all those guys played their hearts out, esp. 26 & 27.

We'll get 'em Saturday.

I worked 12 hours before the game and watched for the last two of work I'm emotionally exhausted and physically exhausted, honestly it felt worse than when the first girl I ever loved and I parted ways. But I can't get mad at the boys that was a helluva effort. They fought like ****ing men till the end.

Honestly all of them, everyone knows how much I hate Aucoin and Schultz but hell they even played real hard and fought till the end. I was really drunk on the job at the end so I don't got much for a breakdown but ****

HENDY WAS A BEAST. ****ing rights boys that's an effort anyone can be proud of **** these ****wads saturday that's all /drunk rant
