Someone should ban the whole main board for not using this GDT. This one is perfect, hate those flashy ones with info you already knew and over sized pictures...
Yet he's among the trustworthy while a generally better two-way player in Semin is not. Puzzling.
Tied with Wideman on the Caps with being on-ice for 9 ES goals against in the playoffs. The only forward in the entire league who has been on-ice for more ES goals against is Briere.

That's a fact. He's also had his linemates do dumb things with the puck a number of times: Ovechkin, Backstrom & Semin all turning the puck over in danger areas leading to goals against in transition. Kreider's goal was the most on him of any of them and that, as with some others, were very stoppable shots.
He's been a weak link in meeting the opposition's push in this series in particular but still not quite an outright liability. Not worthy of the TOI he's been given but not as bad as that stat would suggest.
They do the stupid stop and not move crap too much, this whole passing the puck around a lot in their own zone and turning the puck over is #HunterHockey, the old Caps skate the puck up and maybe turn the puck over 20% of the time, where as this system they turn the puck over 50% of the time. Dmen need to go back to their old ways of just ****ing skating instead of waiting for Beagle to move his ****ing legs and get open for a pass instead of standing still behind the Ranger players.
Too worried about turning the puck over and being the last player back, if the good Canadian boys didn't just stand around and double backed behind the defense man skating the puck, it wouldn't be a problem.
Listening to NBC's pre-game I am of the impression that OV's limited TOI in the 1st two games is a good thing. Gives OV some rest coming off a physical Boston series, and whenever OV hits the ice he is going to be just a bit fresher than the Rag players tasked with defending him. If this series gets drawn out thats going to be a big advantage for the Caps.
Capitals fan base has a bunch of people with 2 infractions, so many of you guys don't got your avatars anymore.
Though you have my sympathy, I got one for saying Brett Connolly dive on the Green incident was hilarious because he acted like he got knocked out, and he was completely fine.
