Hamrlik for his offensive output was absolutely not worth it and neither is/was Gionta. But in either case, the biggest knock on BriseBois was his lack of hockey know-how.
Bergevin is or was miles ahead of almost any other reasonable candidate. McGuire is a joke and will forever be a joke, Fenton/Riseborough is ok but the Wild have been in disarray for years, etc.
The only choice I'd have over him would be Doug Wilson but I'm sure he's not getting fired yet.
Hopefully Bergevin hires a great coach and we can finally turn the corner.

I don't believe you.. I mean really, if they announced a triumvirat of Michel Bergeron, Jacques Demers and Yvon Pednault would lead the Habs you would have been indifferent?

I guess until the Habs actually hold a presser, it's considered speculation. Although you have to think the Tribune is a fairly reliable source.

I like the fact it's only 1 guy from Chicago reporting this and now, everybody jumped on that huge news at this time. I like the timing for some reason.
