Dags cup checked Brown on the faceoff, took a slashing penalty.

This LA team is like the Hawks team in 09-10. They have a good, young core and were able to buy enough top-end talent to be pretty much unstoppable. Who knows why they were so bad earlier in the year.

When did Jackman become such a useless p.o.s?

Also, LA has four guys making more than our highest-paid player. Four.

LA had to have had at 10 scoring chances in that period. I think we had one (that D'Agostini shot early in the first).

That was Oshie but yeah, other than that we've generated squat.

Jackman and Colaiacovo are killing this team right now. They may not be the only weak players right now, but their play is only hurting us right now. At least some guys haven't been making the gaffes these guys have.

This team is not that good. Don't care about how many regular season points we had because it doesn't matter anymore. The Blues started off pretty good for the first 3 minutes but now they are back to not being able to do anything. Can't even carry the ****ing puck in the zone. Dump and chase which is useless because they never even get to the puck before LA.

Not to be chicken little here but I hope more changes are in store in the offseason. Not major changes, but the defense needs to get bigger and more stable, and up front possibly the same...need some guys that can handle the puck and create chances though. We have McDonald and..... who else can do that? We are getting dominated by a bigger, faster, more creative LA team. We look lost, and if this is how we play being down 2-0...there's not much hope.

I guess expecting to get past round two was too much to ask for.

Expecting to get past round two is a pretty lofty expectation for any team.

Anyone who thinks this is a Halak/Elliott issue is out of their ****ing minds. The Blues can't even clear the zone 5 on 5 nor can they hold it in the Kings zone 5 on 4.

They were bad earlier in the year because they sucked. This is so much more about the Blues being fragile and collapsing than it is about the Kings. The way the Blues are playing, the Columbus Blue Jackets would be swarming them.

they just play without confidence. IMO they aren`t as bad as some of you guys here think and I like how they try to get under their opponents skin and be physical

but they look like they don`t even wanna try to score on Quick, like they wouldn`t anyway

Hitch needs to be a high-end motivator if he wants to get the boys going again, especially if Oshie is really injured

Can't and choosing to make dumb plays are two different things IMO.

Hitchcock apparently can't see we've been trying the latter far too often.

If Jackman makes one more feeble attempt at dumping the puck in that gets stopped at the top of the face off circles, I'm going to knock him out myself.

LA isn't dominating right now. The only problem I'm seeing systematically is gap closure, especially when closing space on a dump in. Petro looks like a damn conductor out there telling Colaiacovo what to do.

I disagree, the Kings are preventing us from doing anything we want to do on the ice. That they've been very good at, we are apparently one-dimensional in the playoffs as we've tried about 75 times to pass the puck up the boards and dish it out to center ice despite it being picked off almost every time.

We're rigid, we're trying to do the same thing over and over and L.A. is ready for it.
