The second goal was unstoppable. First and especially last were soft

Marty is a mess this game no doubt. I think worse than game 3 last series. He was screened on two of those.
Luckily so is the much younger long term solution joker on the other side of him.

That's going to happen. That's why in the playoffs you need a goaltender that will bail the D out when they make mistakes. That's what we are missing with this version of MB. He no longer has the ability to consistently bail his D out. Unfortunately that is often the difference in the playoffs.

Marty was waayyyy off his angle. There was at least half a net to shoot at. It's because he bit on the wraparound and couldn't recover.

I don't fault him on the second. A lot of the guys who nitpick at everything he gives up will fault him though.
I aint gonna bash him or throw the stupid Stevens, Neidermayer, haven't won a Cup in 9 years crap, but yeah the first, and third were bad. So were Bryz's first, and third.

Kovy can not be the guy they look to to carry the puck up the ice. They need to find another option, then get it to Kovy in the zone.

Anyone remember when people talked positively about Brodeur's rebound control? Seems like a long long time ago.

Whatever painkiller Kovalchuk had has worn off, he looks pretty bad again.

I do think Marty's stickhandling and passing have been a very big positive for them so far in the playoffs despite the couple gaffs.

We gotta stop forcing the shot from the point when they're unchallenged. Usually gets blocked and leads to a rush against.

Losing this game would feel almost as bad as game 7 of 09. So many chances to put em away, but couldn't and Marty has been mediocre tonight.
