So since we have such great beat writers who stay the exact injury how many sticks does Kovy get to the back from the Flyers tonight if he plays?
I think the best way to limit his time is to take him off the PK let him play the rest of his mins. Might not cut that much off but still will help. We have enough other good PK guys to let him rest during those times then he can take the next shift right after the PK.
But we will wait and see will be a surprise for anyone going to the game because u know he will be skating at least during warm-up.
I really hope he doesn't get PK time. He didn't look fast enough to chase down pucks, plus we have like 7-9 other players capable of killing penalties AND doing it better than him. Parise, Zajac, Henrique, Elias, Zubrus, Carter, Ponikarovksky, and even Gionta and Bernier.
I think he should get limited 2nd line minutes and PP time. Kind of like Ovechkin. Play him when we could really use a goal, but if we're up 3-1 in the 3rd period, let him rest for a little bit. If the score becomes 3-2 bring him back in if he can handle it.
Kinda feel bad for yelling at Kovy through the TV. Dude was probably working through some terrible pain to try and help the team.
I made the same type of mistake early in the playoffs, I really thought his head was in another place after he skated at half-speed late in the season as well. But by the middle of the Panther series it was obvious he 'couldn't' move all that great.
If he's playing fine, I agree with everyone and just don't use him on the PK. I do worry about a '06 Jagr type situation where Kovy goes in then has to come out like that, or Nieuwy in '03.
I gotta record the game on my DVR tonight because of work. Usually I record a show or two just in case of overtime. Tonight, the Blues game is on after ours. If the game runs late, would they relegate us to a different channel or move the Blues for the time being?

We never get injury info from this team and now all of a sudden we get loose lips and our superstar gets a huge "X' on him for these meatheads to knock him into the middle of next week? I don't buy it.

Agree do not play him. We played our best game of the playoffs in game 2. Now we are going to insert Kovy back into the lineup despite the fact that he is way below 100%? And who do we sit? Makes no sense.
