IDK how I feel with Kovy playing tonight. If he didn't even make the trip for game 2 i dont think he should be playing game 3. Him on the 4th line shows he's not 100%...or even 80 for that matter

Why have a shirt giveaway when the large majority of our fanbase in attendance wear jerseys...the attempted whiteout at the home opener should be a prime example of how it doesn't work.

It also doesn't make sense to wear white at home...someone like my dad who only has white jerseys right now would love a red t-shirt to throw over his jersey.

We as a fan base though seem to wear more jerseys than other teams.

This surprised me when I started noticing. We really do wear the jersey a lot more then some teams fans.

Agree. And our jerseys are RED. Not red sometimes, with powder blue occassionally, or perhaps the trendy all black jersey thrown in there, or colors that mimic the local baseball team. OUR JERSEYS ARE RED AND THAT'S IT.

I'm guilty of this! I only have a Kovy in white, but I definitely have more red than white. I tend to wear jerseys almost every day at least when I'm not working. It tends to get hot in Florida, so I've had to limit it a little earlier here than I would when I still lived in Jersey. I get some white, because people see me wearing a red one every day in public, and don't bother to read the back, and it looks like I'm wearing the same jersey every day!

I've always preferred red to white. It's my color. I was very guilty of wearing the red jerseys at home games back when white was the home jersey like in the 03 Finals, and earlier!

Hey King72 good job on butchering the Verizon commercial! Now If they were really saying that I think I wouldn't mind watching it!

i have a blank white, but it's too big and annoying to wear. i much prefer my slightly better fitting (as hockey jerseys go...) red Zajac

I think it has to do with Newark being easily accessible from fan's homes. Most in-state fans live within at most 45-60 minutes of the arena, and the train makes the ride even easier.

When you have places like MSG being in the middle of NYC, you have a lot of fans that don't even bother going home after work. They just go to games in their work clothes, or a change of clothes they bring to work. And it's alot easier to crumble a t shirt into a plastic bag than a nice jersey.

Well then you're not doing it right. You can properly fold a jersey and put it in a bag...

Not only that, but our jersey selection is far more diversified then most other fanbases.

Men don't fold clothes. Come on CJ.

My jersey resides in two places. It's either on a coat hanger in my closest, or fully draped over my computer chair that I never sit in.

LOL that's why you need a woman (or if you're not into that a really neat partner).

I get what you're saying though..I've had to bring my jersey with me to places.

I missed the Meadowlands the first 4 years I still lived in Jersey after The Rock opened.

15 minute drive from my house. Too long of a drive and no mass transit for everyone else! Sometimes the Turnpike got real clogged up there at 16W. I found in Newark you hit a little traffic on 21, and then it's a lot better. 21 is slow for a few minutes. Sometimes 280 is a little clogged very slightly for those who get back on the Turnpike to go home. Sometimes 21 to 3 is a lot better, and saves you time.

i never go home before a game. there's a bag packed with a change of clothes in my car right now. specifically because that outfit is 5-0. normally i'd just toss my jersey over my work clothes and rock the jersey, dress pants, and heels look

LOL...my outfit has been folded neatly on my dresser waiting for tonight's game. The superstitions are sickening...

Superstition that worked for Game 4, 6, 7 and Game 2 of this series: Go to work with my Devils windbreaker over my work stuff. Sal jersey is draped over my passenger seat with the towel from Game 3 on the seat and my exact change of clothes from all those games also.

God I need help haha.

Also, my beard is getting really irritating, but I refuse to shave it. Game day I've shaved all around my goatee but leave it untrimmed. Getting really itchy at this point haha.
