God I need help haha.

Also, my beard is getting really irritating, but I refuse to shave it. Game day I've shaved all around my goatee but leave it untrimmed. Getting really itchy at this point haha.
My superstition rituals have been crazy since 2001...

TG's actually been incredibly readable lately. There were times when he was super dry and there were times when he was trying too hard. I like this version lately.

What really sucked is when I worked out in Bethlehem PA for the last few years I lived in Jersey. I used to have to drive to Vince Lombardi to meet my buddy there, and we would drive to the game. I really missed the Meadowlands 7;30 start times too cause we'd usually be getting there right around puck drop if we were lucky. I can count the times we made it there in time for warm ups or to see any warm ups unless it was a weekend or holiday game.

Frankly it has worked. Game 3 I had my Kovy jersey. Game 5 and Game 1 of this series fell on the weekend so I wasn't at work. All 3 were losses. This ritual, however, has yet to fail.

Let's hope it continues!

It's all about the clothing. I'm wearing the same shirt/hat combo that I wore when we won game 2. Once they lose a game with that, it's done for the series! haha

Same...when we lost Game 3 against Florida, I went home and immediately threw everything in the wash machine. I don't wanna do that tonight...

I had a Kovy that was delivered to me on Valentine's Day. I wore it while watching the game that night, and Kovy scored a hat trick in Buffalo. I didn't wear it for a while, but wore it during the Rangers game where he scored in the opening minute. That was his first goal since the hat trick 3 weeks before. I was gonna keep wearing it, and it started out a 4 game win streak, and the very next game is when Kovy scored another hat trick against the Isles! After the winning streak was broken I still wore, and we won a couple, but lost mostly. Wore an Elias jersey which started a 7 game winning streak all the way to game 1 against Florida. I even wore it at game 2 against Florida, but we lost.

Came to Jersey, and wore a Marty for game 3, but he was pulled that night. No more streaks or jerseys for me. I really don't wanna sit inside wearing a jersey anymore either it's just too hot for that!

Even with kovy we don't match up well against the flyers. We will only win this series if we play flawless defense, which a kovy at 70% will not do. I say let him rest

Wore my throwback Kovy jersey until we got shutout last series. Was getting bad vibes so I stashed it away in the closet and brought out my old CCM Devils jersey. After we won I draped it on the couch and it hasn't moved since.

He's been in a great mood since his favorite team got out of round 1 and are leading their series in round 2 after last nights 3 OT win !

Don't need Kovalchuk to play solid defense, just need him to make solid decisions with the puck.

i like to think of tg like a crippled bird man with gnarly little arms and a microphone taped to a fishing pole thats stapled to his back and arched all the way over his face so that he can give interviews and the people can speak into the mic because his bird hands cant hold it steady.

I have that superstition where if I'm sitting in one spot and the Devils are playing well, I have to stay in that spot! It's very annoying...

Someone might need to double check this for me, but I'm pretty sure Kovy has been on the ice for every 5v5 goal against, aside from the one Read scored last game which was the only game he didn't dress.

We've given up 6 5v5 goals to Florida and 3 to Philly. That's 9.

He's a -5. Eliminate his 3 even strength points (+1 each) and he'd be -8. That leaves one goal, the Read goal that he didn't dress for.

He also has assists so without the goals he'd still be a -5. But yea I see ur point. But he's too injured to play good offense, let alone good defense.
