Sweden needs to play a tough physical game to complement their skill game. Russia was 90 % more physical yesterday.

And the "checkingline" is a big joke. Larsson and Persson had 0 hits against Russia.

I actually agree pretty much completely with your list. Although I would say Johan Larsson might deserve three stars, he's done the best he can in his role and with his icetime, i.e somewhat on the same level as Järnkrok.

Brodin and Eriksson deserves four stars and Z five, otherwise agree. Goalies are lucky to get two.

I was actually on the verge of giving Eriksson two stars. He's looked slow and weak, but has gotten a lot of points by playing with the Detroit cast. He's also missed at least 3-4 open nets during these games.

How is Silfverberg doing? I saw a 2 star rating up there, but I hope he's at least giving the effort and showing his skills.

I don't know what's wrong with him, maybe he has given his all already this season winning SEL championship? It just seems that the whole line just stays in the corner with pretty much nothing else going on and plays it safe. I didn't watch Brynas that lot during the regular season, so I don't really know that much what is gotten worse in his game. Hopefully he's saving his game 'till the games that matter the most.

Silfverberg is pretty obviously out of gas, his foot speed just isn't there. Normally his explosive stride is one of his biggest weapons. Now it's almost to the point where he has troubles keeping up with Jarnkrok, and he had troubles in foot races against Italy tonight. Because the skating isn't there, he can't create anything on the rush nor get in the right areas to use his shot. We'll see if two days rest here can make a difference. Either way, he'll most likely find himself on the 4th line the rest of this tournament. Hopefully he can still score a clutch goal when it matters.

I thought Silfverberg would have a great tournament after watching the pre-tournament game against USA. They should definitely split Järnkrok and Silfverberg when Franzen comes back.

43-19 for 69.35%. Over 50% in every game so far. Ranks third in the tournament.

Pretty obvious that Mårts is setting up for Bäckström to join Horny and Alfie on a line.

Looks like Henke said go win a gold to Bäckström. Hope both him and Johansson joins the team.

There's only room for one more skater.

Yes please. But we'll see what happens.

I think Backstrom was very good since coming back all things considered.

Karlsson had 11 shots on goal vs Italy. Yikes!

I honestly don't know if that was a good thing, he had about 5 straight shots I saw on the PP that were just directly into the goalies chest and he shot before the Swedes were set up in front so there wasn't even tip potential. I know he is good but those are not the kind of shots that will go in on any decent goalie. Still impressive that he was able to get open and in position to shoot so much throughout the game

Why would we bring over a goal scorer (Hornqvist) only to park him on the 4th line? I know he's not so known to Swedes since he's playing in NSH but he's probably the most adapted goal scorer we have on the team together with Franzen... I like these lines but Silfverberg needs to be on the 4th line and Hornqvist on the 2nd.

Our four best wingers as it stands now are Eriksson, Franzen, Alfredsson and Hornqvist and they should definitely play on the 1st and 2nd lines. Then if there are chemistry problems we can obviously shuffle the lines but right now I see no reason not to play them right up there.

Hörnqvist is easily at the top 6 in this team, or more precise he beats out silfverberg with so much ease
