Can't wait to see it when we get it at the office

Thanks for the heads up. Now if it was actually easily available in stores, people might even buy a few copies, eh

I've been on the lookout for it but I havn't spotted it yet. Does anyone know of any shops in the city that carry it? If I can't find it out here I'll get it when I go home over break.

Amazon stocks it again, so you can get it ordered online (not the downloadable version, but the actual boxed version) if nothing else:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...games&n=507846

We also have a thread on our forums which will list all retailers selling the game over in NA as long as people report them to us:

New York. Sorry, i should have been more specific about that, I'm going to school out here in colorado but I'm from the New York area so the 'the city' has always just been NYC.

Of the 4 games there, I have been playing Gretzky NHL 2005 the most. It's the only one you can play AHL games in. It's looks great, plays the same. It's.... half arcade, half Full Sim.

What?? I have Gretzky and where can you play AHL Games? They only have like 6 players in the minors so it would be impossible.

There are a few roster updates being done for the NHL EHM by some fans on different websites. You might want to look at EHM The Blueline or fhockey.com for example for updates and links to other fansites.

I haven't had the chance to test out the Gretzky game yet (haven't seen it here in Europe yet) so I don't know about the AHL being playable. From what I heard, it was there only as a placeholder for farmplayers but someone who has the game can probably fill us all in. ESPN NHL is the only arcade game choice right now at our office. Aside from the random challenge games between the members of the dev team, we have a regular ritual of 3-4 humans playing with Belarus against Sweden and trying to replicate the Kopat goal on Salo from the Olympics (No hard feelings swedes, I know both of our countries have had their black moments on ice....)

BTW if you ask me, all the 3D arcade hockey games have miles to go in the realism section. Playing any of the arcade games just doesn't feel or seem like real hockey that much. It's just too....arcady I guess. But they are good fun though.

I think arcade hockey games are a great break for the norm. They are the best to play online, and in the end Gretzky is just a fun game to play.
