I don't think the Beastie Boys ever got the credit they deserve.

The music world lost a piece of something unique.

I'm off to youtube Brass Monkey, Hey Ladies and Sabotage.

Rock I.P

I agree. After Liscensed to Ill, they really offered a unique twist on Rap, Funk, R and B that was and is truly unique.

Hello Nasty was the first hip hop album I ever bought. Was fan of the group and the genre ever since.

Big fan of the Beastie Boys, they've been making really fun music for twenty years. R.I.P Adam Yauch.

Hello Nasty, Check Your Head, License to Ill have been on heavy rotation for me. Listening back to their stuff from the early days right up to Committee II, it's clear how big of pioneers they were. Every genre they touched on from Punk to Reggae, they did it justice. MCA was a true artist, and it sucks he left the way he did with cancer. RIP man.

I'm on my phone and don't know how to share the video, but check out Coldplays tribute to the Beastie Boys on youtube. One of the most touching tributes I have ever seen.

If someone could post it would be great.

Pretty classy what the New York Mets did in honor. All their intro music for the entire game was Beastie Boys music.
