If Game 4 goes OT...

So I have to DVR the beginning of game 4 and will be watching on a delay. NBC has the KY Derby going off at 4pm.

Do you think NBC will cut to the Derby and move the Rangers over to NBCSN if there is OT and it's past 4pm?

Like to know so I can set my DVR...

NBC has announced, that the game will stay on NBC through two OT periods and that if it goes longer, the game will switch to CNBC for those not in NY or DC. In NY and DC, the game will stay on NBC.

I set my DVR from 12:30-7. Hopefully that will cover it.

I did the same thing.

And luckily set my DVR for an extra 4 hours for Game 3!

I got burned for Game 3 using my DVR... I only recorded an extra hour after the expected end time. So I made it through OT period 1, and then my recording ended. =\ Had to find out we won by going online...

I can only set mine for 3 hours over so it'll go until 7. Should I set up a 2nd recording from 5-8 on cnbc to make sure? I live in connecticut....

I gave up trying to DVR playoff games.

Missed one game in the Sens series, Game 4.

Got home around 9:30ish and decided to watch on DVR.. we were up 2-0 after 1 as we all know but then I thought, wait.. what if the game is tied late right now or is in OT.. I don't want to miss live OT hockey I thought

So i decide to switch live and sure enough the game is tied 2-2 in the 3rd so I just watched live from there..

Had to work the other night and didn't bother to set the DVR, just came home and turned the game on late 3rd.

If game 4 goes to OT, there is a good chance that my life expectancy was cut by 30 years by these playoffs alone. I said the same thing after the 94 cup run. There's a good chance I'm living on borrowed time because of my sports teams.

Only 1 hour padding for a playoff game??? Bet you won't make that mistake again. Seriously, I generally set regular season games to record an extra hour to cover a possible OT/SO and at least a bit of the post game coverage. For PO games I add at least 2 hours.
