Well whatever...if I wanted real maple syrup I'd buy Vermont, not that Canadian stuff...everyone knows that Vermont maple syrup is the best, and it's nothing to get cagey about.....

.....just as the best champagne comes from France, the best maple syrup is from Vermont....

Single game tickets for this game: 156 eur - 196 eur

By looking at the available tickets for the game I predict maybe 7000-8000 attendance. Sad. This should be sold out but organizers kills the atmosphere.

Still hoping for a good and physical hockey game.

Canada has a very large edge at forward, the defences are roughly equal, and I would give USA a slight edge in goal.

I'm predicting 3-2 for Canada with USA scoring first and being out shot heavily. Should be a crapshoot though really.

I'll watch this for at least half an hour and then flip b/w this and Rangers/Caps.

It's pretty funny...I watch a lot of hockey and have never heard of some of the guys on the US team. Surely they could have put together a better squad.

The real telling point is if you will be around if you lose.

That will speak volumes.

you watch a lot of hockey and havent heard of some of the names on the US team?

outside of Lasch and J.T Brown (5 games with the Lightning after going pro) how do you not know most of these guys? this team is filled with NHL players for once... this US team is far better then what we had last year...

also, Jon Curry is our 3rd goalie but did play with the Penguins and their organization a few years back

I saw some of the USA-France game. Even though the USA won 7-2, they didn't look that impressive. France hung tough until it was 5-2. Maybe it was jet lag or the guys aren't used to each other yet. Jimmy Howard looked a little shaky in goal. I am Preds fan and he didn't look that way against Nashville.

The USA has to play better to have a chance against that line up for Canada. Since I haven't seen Canada play, I have no prediction. It will be my first chance to see Ryan O'Reilly. His brother Cal played in Milwaukee for a few seasons.

Canada has the better forwards, not gonna argue that, but the US has the better defense and by a solid margin imo.

Canada has some older beef on that blueline, something that will cost them longterm. the US has such a quick and mobile defense that it is going to be our calling card

also agree with Jimmy Howard...a true #1 in net for us will make a huge difference

France has been together as a team for over a month...and they looked it in the beginning. After the midway point in the second period, the US team started to reeally bring things together.

it will not be easy for some of these teams to gel quickly, but I think the US has a solid group of guys familiar with one another..

I would be more worried about Canada personally. they did not look good in their opener, and they lacked a cohesive unit... whatever issues the US has, Canada has as well...

I still can see Canada pulling out a 3-2 or 4-2 win....but I can easily see it the other way around this early in the tournament

That's what I thought.

We will be seeing precious little of you if you don't come out victorious, not just to us....................in any game you lose.

This is going to become so apparent in the elimination round.

I could honestly see a US game that is won by defensive production as the wear starts to show.
