again, this is team Canada we are talking about here, when you are adding an 18 year old junior to your top 6 it really shows me the lack of overall talent the squad has.
Murray is a good kid, but with the amount of depth and talent you have he should not even get a sniff here. He is a solid player, but I am really confused by his addition as I dont think he will be that elite of a player in the NHL..or right now in this tournament.
Oh I agree on Murray. He wasn't brought in because he was the best player available, that's for certain. I am guessing that they just wanted to give a very highly touted defensive prospect some exposure with the senior team, but it is a somewhat baffling decision. Still, the plan was not for him to actually play, but injuries to Methot and Subban have forced him into action. He's still only a year younger than Faulk, so I don't think there is much point in bringing it up as a big issue, and I am aware that Faulk has actually played in the NHL.

He is not. Canada's d-pairings today:
Methot - Phaneuf
Vlasic - Bouwmeester
Keith - Schenn
(Murray)
On offense, Kane has been moved to RNH and Eberle.

I thought Methot was still out with a groin "issue"?

It's surprisingly good. I was certain it would be like the GER-ITA game. 196€ for the lower levels is a killer.
And wooo US scores!

Damn, one of the play-by-play guys has a really thick accent.
It's almost as bad as Cam Ward's start to the game.

Ward didn't look good there.
One thing I notice is US Defence is very mobile and designed for this kind of games

Put Dubnyk in.
Wards confidence is gone after that goal.

it feels strange watching them on the euro-sized rink when you're so used to watching NHL hockey.
The game looks so different.
