Nobody can be worse than the Slovakian ref from yesterday at least. He was by far the worst ref I have ever had the displeasure of watching.

CZE - SWE ? No apparent favourite.
Swedish federation will hold a press conference in an hour regarding ticket prices.. Hopefully they admit their giant mistake and opt to cut the prices in half(at least). I'm not keeping my hopes up, but yeah..

When sales don't go as expected, you either cut the prices or you change the product. Only the former is possible in this case.

It's intriguing that the finnish tickets costs even more and I think the finnish price points where a big part in comming up with the swedish ones.

Even so, hopefully they'll recieve a pricecut by atleast 100kr for the nosebleeds and 200-400kr for the rest when the opposition are Czechs and Russians. For the other nations, they need a more hefty pricecut if they want above 4-5k spectators.

Yep. Hopefully we play better than we did against Denmark. I hope we win, but I reckon the Swedes will be too strong :/

Lineup news:

Fasth and Štěpánek are confirmed starters.

Nik Kronwall will play with Karlsson on defense, putting Kronwall Jr with Brodin.

Němec moves up to Čáslava on the second pairing for the Czechs, while Mojžíš is placed with Krajíček.

Hedman has soooo much physical talent, but totally lacks hockey intelligence and positioning. I hope some of this can be taught and some gained through experience - otherwise his talent will go to waste Alexander Daigle:esque.

The announcer on youtube sounds like a football/soccer announcer.

Maybe it's just his accent...

Can't believe they didn't call that goal off. Franzén definitely pushed the Czech D into the goalie.

The swedish hockey crowd is a joke. Is Sweden the only hockey country that can host a WHC and get beaten in the stands by the away team ?, most likely. Hopefully this gets better as the tournament progresses and people wake up to the new ticket prices
