I had a wedding this past weekend. A friend married an obnoxious Rangers' fan.

Friday, during the post-rehearsal dinner bar visit, some of the d-bag groomsmen decided to talk **** to me in the manner that d-bag Rangers fans do (one was very offended that I didn't think the 'Veneeza' Trophy winning goalie would dominate the series). The wedding was at 6 on Saturday. Not a friggin peep from any of them. It was glorious.

Please, more shutting up of Rangers 'fans'. K thanks.

Bahaha... This can be seen as an analogy for the Series Talk on the cup board.

Most rangers fans are heavy on the emotional investment in their team and aren't afraid to show thats for sure! They can be seen as arrogant often times..especially the ones who are on message boards.

I have 4 or 5 friends that are Ranger fans and we have fun and rib each other. I'm pretty sure they are the exception to the rule as they do not reside in NY.

Caps are going to win this series.

A little addendum to the story: those at my table were plannings on spelling out C-A-P-S in the photo booth, but alas, booze got the better of us and we forgot. Very disappointing.

Yep. I've always said New York would be a wonderful city if it wasn't so full of New Yorkers.

true ..and like i said..its the reason why its always smart to bet against New York when in Vegas. New yorkers seem to bet on their team against all rational explanation and thought.

They have die hard fans that cannot be disputed. But they get they don't always think with their heads when it comes to their teams.

Even the guys who follow their teams get sucked into it. Guys like Fischler (remember him suggesting Peter Prucha get some love for ROY over Ovechkin??)..he's at it again saying they will win the cup. Another one of their writers (and probably lots of their fans) think they have a more "talented" roster than the Caps.

That's friggen awesome.

I would have been tempted to do an impromptu toast with a Caps mention.

Status Quo lineup today per the twippers. Expected after a win, but I wanted that bottom pairing looked at. Surprising no one I am sure, its mind boggling to me that neither Dman hustle after an icing or dump in a playoff game. While I give Wides a pass because he was up at the blue jumping in the air knowing Sarge the DD should have the back, he has to realize Sarge has regressed to watch the RD do all the work, take all the hits, and take all the risks, mode.

WHAT! And you didn't get up and voice your objections during the service when the minister incquired if there were any among us who have objections to the marriage. Some wingman you are.

Understand, by the way it was kind of redundant when you wrote "obnoxious Ranger" fan. Ranger fan would have sufficed in making your point.

Not as confident about tonight. I think the Caps big four are going to all have to play out of their minds again tonight.

The Rangers forecheck scares the hell out of me. One would have to think though if you play only 5 D every game that they are going to tire out? Or is that just wishful thinking? I know Torts trains his guys hard but their d are like super human.
