I told myself after Friday nights game that i was not watching game 5 at 9pm but would be in bed instead. I have had 3 days to sulk and i still come to the conlusion that i cannot believe i actually thought that.
The Preds have pulled out wins during some tough times this year almost miracle like. This team has something special about it this year and i hope that something reappears when it is needed most. The Preds backs are against the wall as much as you can possibly imagine. I think we are going to find out a lot about this team and certain players Suter, Weber, and Peka. Stars shine when games mean everything. We will find out if these so called "stars" here in Nashville step up to what they have been praised to be for years.
I'll just quickly add how much I love this thread. If we lose, we lose. I'm a Preds fan today and tomorrow. Many forget how terrible we started off. Under my screen name is "fail for nail" because we were on the verge of falling that far down. I can't figure out how to change it now but it's a constant reminder to me of where this team was. We let a bunch of veteran's go after last season and went with youth this year. We really weren't supposed to even be this good. I'm pleased no matter what happens tonight.
I don't remember exactly but I don't think I would've been okay with losing in the second round coming off of last season's improvements. Well, not necessarily "being okay" with it, but you said you would've gone ahead and taken that if you knew it. Plus, we were better than Detroit this season so beating them in the first round is irrelevant.
