I think Quick maybe had two really difficult saves in the third and they were big saves for us, but we got a big game out of Richards and a big game out of Doughty. Kopitar had a pretty good game as well and we got a goal from King. We’re not going to be a team that is going to be winning games just with one line scoring. We got to have contributions from everyone and sometimes it’s Quick making a big save, sometimes it’s our defense making a big block, but tonight we got big games from some of our top guys.” (on getting a goal from Dwight King…) “With King, the contribution is huge when you get a goal from a guy like (him). He’s been working hard for us all year and I think the timing of that goal is pretty important. I don’t know how much time there was between their goal and our goal, but especially when we are in command of the series it gives them a little bit of life when they get that goal, I think. Then we came right back and it took the wind out of their sails. We didn’t give up a whole lot after that."

Things happen in games, and we got some lucky bounces tonight that allowed us to win, and Quickie made some big saves. I think we did a good job in the third period of shutting it down.’’ (on the Kings’ confidence level right now…) “I think winning obviously does that for you, especially in the playoffs. The way we’ve done it, we’ve kept with our system, we’ve played well in a lot of the situations that we’ve been put in. It’s about going out there and playing the same system, the same game that we’ve played all year. It gives us confidence to have success with it.’’ (on getting a power-play goal…) “Like I was saying yesterday, it’s not how many we get, but when we get them. It was nice to get that one tonight. We had some opportunities, and we still want to be better on it, but hopefully that kind of starts a trend.’’ (on what he saw on his goal…) “I was just firing it on goal. I got a little lucky there and it squeaked through. It’s something that we’ll take right now. You’re going to need those lucky goals to have success."

We stayed positive and made sure that we were going to come right back and get another one. I think that’s one of the biggest reasons why we won tonight.’’ (on the Kings’ confidence level right now…) “We feel great in here. We’re confident that we have a really good team in here, all the forwards, all the goalies, all the D. At the same time, we can’t get too high on ourselves. It’s three-nothing right now, but the fourth game is going to be the hardest, to close out, and we’ve got to make sure it’s our best game of the series, and it’s going to be the toughest one to win."

We’ve got to take a break and get ready again. It’s not about individuals.’’ (on rebounding quickly from in-game adversity and not panicking…) “I don’t think you get to this point by panicking, that’s for sure. I think you’ve got to score big goals. It’s simple. You can manage it however you want, but hey, Mike Richards, that’s a big power-play goal too.’’ (on the Kings’ defensive-zone play…) “We didn’t give up many shots, but we could have managed the puck better in our zone. There were times when some of our younger guys have to have a little more composure with the puck.’’ (on Dwight King’s goal being an example of full-team contributions…) “It’s not about individuals, and it does take everybody. It’s good for Kinger. He’s had an interesting series.’’ (on the Blues’ physical play…) “It is about contact. It is. I’m sure they made a point of it, about talking about it and trying to do it. You have to be able to play through it, but you also have to be there to give and take.’’ (on getting a power-play goal…) “The percentages, I couldn’t really care less about, right? It’s about scoring a big goal, and that’s a big goal.’’ (on celebrating this win….) “I don’t think there’s any reason to, because you don’t get nothing for three.’’ (on the game…) “I thought it was as good of a third period and we’ve probably played in three months.’’ (on players saying they still think they can be better…) “That’s a good way to feel, because it’s tough to beat a team that is that much ahead of you in the regular season. We just went through it."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Are you hoping to cancel out your jinx posting of the sweep photo by jinx posting the GDT the day before?

Go KINGS! Would this be the first sweep in Kings history (well that the Kings were on the right side of)? This might be a bad sign considering how I have anticipated a loss every game so far, but I think the Kings will pull this one out and advance to the Conference Championship!

I'm going to this game. I'm cautiously optimistic for a sweep. Man, would the building go nuts. I would love to experience that.

GKG!!!! Feels good to be a Kings fan. I can't remember the last time I've said that.

Bad feeling about this one. Blues are hungry and I feel like they won't make as many mistakes.

Would anyone like my game 4 insider suite tickets? Got sick and don't want to go if I don't have to from SD. I'll sell the 2 for $300, PDF tickets ready to be emailed. Let me know ASAP if you're interested. Total charge from EA Sports was $362 originally, so this is your chance to save $60.

I feel better with Sutter having acknowledged the apparent issue with afternoon games, and hopefully having done something about it.

The one thing that makes me feel better about this game 4 is that in the last round they were dominated and Quick stole the show in game 3, and this time Quick was a bit off and they still won. Thus, STL has no really shown no signs of life.
